Everyone writes how easy it is...but my H seems to be stuck extra tight. I'll try again and maybe use a hair dryer to heat it before trying to pull it free. I don't want to scratch the finish taking off the emblem.

I got my nose badge installed yesterday on my pearl white 2012 and it looks great. I have not replaced the "Lazy Flying H" yet, but removed the tabs on the KDM logo anyways, though I do not know if the KDM badge fits in the trunk holes, if any trunk holes exist on the 2012...
Anyways, I have a 2012 with tech/prem pkg so what wheel emblems/steering wheel emblem/badges do I need?
Heat was the answer! I've had the winged badge for months and thought why not be proud of the H and leave it. I must say that since replacing the H and appling the Genesis badge I really like the look of the wings. Pictures don't do justice to the winged badge. It is really quite attractive
Hey QuantumRift,
Be sure you don't have your front and back badges mixed up.
The front badge is bigger and that's the one that needs the tabs filed down so you can stick it above your grille. To match the badge style of the Korean model Genesis that has two holes drilled in the hood, you will want to center your larger wing emblem approximately 15/16ths of an inch above the grille. Don't drill into your hood.
When you take off the Hyundai "H" badge on the trunk, you will see two holes in your trunk lid that exactly match the rear badge. So, for that one, no need to file down the tabs. The rear badge is slightly smaller than the front one.
For wheel badges, you will want ones that fit the center of the 18" wheels that come with your Genesis Premium/Tech. You have two choices and can find images of each here on the forum. Most prefer the style that let's the "points" of your spokes show fully. It matches the ones currently on your car, replacing the "H" logo with the wing. That's more expensive unless you put these together yourself, which is not too difficult. Do some searching on the site and you'll find mucho info and images, too.
I assume this is what you are referring to as "letting the points" show..

wow. They are not cheap, eh?
I've not had the opportunity to remove the wheels or caps (yet). How difficult is it to replace the caps? I would guess it's a "no-brainer"... ??
