The 2012 Genesis 3.8 V6 oil filter is located under the engine. The photos of the lower engine cover is taken from Philth' post, and are very good.
The Oil Filter I used is a Wix 57250, it is exactly the same as the Hyundai Filter. The filter is made in South Korea. It package includes a large o-ring, an aluminum drain bolt crush washer,and a small o-ring which is for the 2009-2011 Genesis which is located on top of the engine. The small o-ring fits on the bottom of stem of the back-flow device in the 2009-2011 Genesis. The small o-ring is NOT used on the 2012 3.8 V6.
