GV60 Canadian Deposit - Local Dealer Information & Timelines

Any word on delivery time frames in Canada? or any word on a timeframe for any sort of future information on delivery timeframes?

If only. I’m still waiting on hearing from my dealer and getting a little disappointed on the months long delays to even hear pricing or information let alone a test drive or delivery. I’m also a little concerned that the time between test drive/pricing and the delivery will be very short. I’d prefer to have some time in between to consider my order and whether I go forwards with it, especially if the pricing seems fair. At the rate things are going- nobody knows anymore.

I’m here in the US and my understanding is the significance of tomorrow is that reviews by North American journalists will be published. It would make sense that pricing would follow suit but that’s not confirmed. Hoping that something more concrete than reviews will be revealed tomorrow or very soon thereafter

It would make sense to announce pricing or availability and then release the torrent of what is expected to be a number of favourable reviews.

I agree with you, I suspect and am cautiously optimistic of the same.

I forgot to mention….I called the Genesis Concierge today about any new update since I made a deposit using that Priority One system about a month ago and haven’t heard anything (not sure if they did that in Canada or something else similar)….they said no new information

I think it’s at 1PM eastern time for some reason. I can’t remember for sure but I remember being confused like you and that it wasn’t at midnight

I hope they are wrong about the leatherette seats in the advanced model. As that is code for synthetic leather(polyurethane). That's what Hyundai did for its North American Ioniq 5s, gave us leatherette seating vs the genuine leather for the rest of the world. At least they mention Nappa leather seating for the sport model.

Don't forget the exchange rate from USD to CAD. That would take the Performance from $62890 USD to $80700 CAD, but it would be slightly lower due to tariff treatment differences between the US and Canada.

I'm not saying they're wrong. But when I put my deposit down this was the trim package at the time. Advanced lists nappa leather as part of the package.

That reviewer is US, so, nothing to do with Canadian built (or possibly) just a typo.

For reference, the US Advanced/Performance trims differ slightly from the Canadian offerings. (e.g. our Advanced loses the Nappa leather and rear heated seats, but we get B&O and the 360 Surround View Monitor)

I'm not certain that either has HDA 2 since they only list HDA in the spec sheet. All Genesis models had their HDA 2 downgraded to HDA back in March due to chip shortage. Oddly, Kias are still shipping with HDA 2. That would be a weird omission as Hyundai is still delivering HDA2 in Ioniq 5s...

For example if you factor the current exchange my ultimate trim Ionic 5 is priced 10K Canadian$ lower than the exact spec US limited model. That is just MSRP to MSRP comparison and exclusive of any rebates or "market adjustments" which can widen the gap to a 15-20K difference between the 2 markets.

I agree...for example the US Kia Stinger GT2 is priced $51,500 US and in Canada the equivalent is the Stinger elite which is $53,300 CAD. Hopefully they'll so something similar for the GV60.

In any case, at $68K (USD) for the Performance model, that is $87K (CAD) at the current exchange rate.
