Agreed
First published comments on increasing the rebate were made by the minister in charge back in December, speculation was much earlier than that.I wonder if people's reactions would have been different if they had released the price from the start. I feel as though people have built up their expectations through rumor to the point where they expected a certain outcome. I mean to me, it sounds like a lot of people are upset about missing out on the federal rebate. But most of us had already placed the preorder before they even considered increasing the federal rebate.

What is the cause of the stop sale recall?I am very skeptical we are going to see even 500 units this year. The forecast is grim. Currently there is a stop sale/recall on Ioniq 5/EV6. This will affect GV60 to some extent. At this point Ioniq 5s ordered in July/August of 2021 are only starting to trickle into Canada. Anything ordered in October 2021 has been pushed to possible deliveries in 2023. Apparently all of 2023 production is accounted for. Hyundai has not even bothered to provide its monthly email update this month, probably because the news is not good. Kia has just altogether stopped taking any further orders for EV6.
My understanding is they had too many deposits that they couldn't meet demand in 2023. So they are refunding deposits. What is the cause of the stop sale recall?
I’m sure if we were above 80 cents to the dollar, our starting price would have been slightly lower as well!My understanding is they had too many deposits that they couldn't meet demand in 2023. So they are refunding deposits.
To some people, the Ioniq/EV6 are underpriced. To others, the GV60 is overpriced. Just depends on your perspective. Gut feel is that Ioniq/EV6 price is more likely to go up, than the GV60 price is going to go down....

Canadian specs are slightly different aside from power. I believe a Nappa leather is available for both trims here.I put a deposit down on both the Advanced and Performance. Just looking at the U.S spec sheet which just came out (and assuming it's similar to Canada) the only difference of interest to me is the power output for the Performance, the massaging driver's seat and the blue leather upholstery available.
From reviews I've read the Advanced is still pretty fast 0-60 so I'm not sure there is $8000 of value in stepping up to the Performance. In any case I told the dealership when I put down my deposit that if I took a Performance that I would want to switch the 21" rims with an Advanced.
What do you guys think about the value equation between the two?
Considering we know each other so well I really appreciate you having such an amazing insight into such a personal attackSounds like they dodged a bullet by losing you as a “customer”. The pre order process could have been better for sure but your reaction at this point is nothing short of childish.
I call it like I see it. I'm too old to put up with ridiculous internet fools. You would rather let Genesis hold on to your deposit until the vehicle is delivered in order to mildly inconvenience them by walking away because you don't agree with their pricing and think that you should have had a direct line to the internal decision making on production and information release. The world doesn't revolve around you my friend. And to even suggest that a screenshot with a erroneous pricing would lead to them honouring the price is beyond comprehension. This is not a pricing error at a grocery store it's a vehicle. You are entitled to cancel your order and you are entitled to pitch a fit online but I am entitled to call you out on your ridiculousness. Have a wonderful day internet stranger.Considering we know each other so well I really appreciate you having such an amazing insight into such a personal attack

dude take a chill pill. All I was saying is that for a company that is trying to build a reputation upon customer service, concierge service and treating there customers better then the other available options in the market place they have seriously dropped the ball.I call it like I see it. Any idea when they will arrive? If they are in Markham that should mean they are in showrooms for next week?I just got an email from my dealer, the demos are shipping today.
He told me a couple of weeks, but I'm in Newfoundland so should be quicker on the mainland. He said he'd bring it to my house for me to take it out.Any idea when they will arrive? If they are in Markham that should mean they are in showrooms for next week?

Well I can understand your frustrations then. I guess it's just different for me since I was already in this neighborhood with the price a Mach E.
That's great Maritime customer service! We don't get the same on the west coast.cool
