If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

GV60 Canadian Deposit - Local Dealer Information & Timelines

For people that complaint initially the GV60 is priced too high, but just look at the KDM price.
For Performance, (

I am with TD as well!! So I 'll make sure they will include a 5% discount.
But why Tesla have good record? Costing too much for repairs? or the Driver falling asleep with Autopilot (FSD on)? Damn.
Their earlier vehicles were all-aluminum, which is difficult to repair, and would increase associated costs.
Their vehicles tend to be on the more-powerful side, and I suspect that buyers skew young, which may drive up accident rates.

My insurance quoted slightly less for a Model Y than I currently pay for my TLX

Same. Genesis West Ottawa has had horrible communication for being a "premium" dealership.
Totally agree. Last Friday they told me I can have a test drive this Monday but on the morning of Monday when I asked if I can go for test drive at scheduled time, they replied that the car was not ready yet...

When did you put your pre order down?

Got an update from my dealer yesterday than my car is scheduled for June production. I was supposedly 36th in line but switched colour to Saville Silver from Matterhorn White which may have affected my place in the queue.

Just had my test drive in Montreal this morning.

Overall the car is exactly what I expected. Very nice and price-appropriate interior. Exterior is a little wonky in my opinion but was neither better or worse than expected. It’s a bigger car than you may expect though.

It does come with both charger (110v non-changeable to nema) and V2L.

Was unsure about finger print to start as the dealer had not tested yet.

Was not impressed with the bang an olufson. But I’m very picky. No where near as good and clear and dynamic as the ELS in Acura’s RDX for example - although may be some EQ settings I missed.

The drive is predictably quick. A little too sensitive in sport mode with regen at max and way to sensitive in boost - even compared to my model 3.

Super quiet and smooth ride but you can really feel the weight - even compared to Ionic 5 if my memory serves me correctly. Felt a little floaty on one stretch of road in standard mode.

If you compare strictly to other premium ev’s coming this year and take into account the current market as of Today (rising interest rates and prices) I think the price is appropriate (ie. disappointingly high yet not warranting cancellation).

But the problem is that the ionic 5 and EV6 exist - and are so good and so well priced. We shouldn’t really be comparing to those but it’s hard not too ;)

Anyways I will probably move ahead as I change cars every year or less and can surely lease or finance transfer it when I want without an issue.

I am roughly #48 . First small batch (around 20) arrived in Canada with new batches arriving every few weeks. Yet my status shows “being built this month” which is what was said last month. Dealer suspects it’s all meaninlesss as car could be made and still at port in Korea and/or they are prioritizing performance models vs my advanced. He figures I’ll have it by end of July but all speculation at this point.

I did my test drive in Sherbrooke Québec this morning and got my VIN! Apparently the car is on a train and that can take a couple of weeks from Vancouver with loading and unloading. I was told the cars do not need to transit from Toronto anymore as there is a new terminal arrangement in Montreal. Cars can be traced once they are on the truck transit, not on a train. You can track the car with the vin number and postal code of the dealer at
This means I can expect the car in the next 3 weeks.
Other than that, the car I tried was White with blue interior Performance, exactly like my order. I do not have much to add to all that has been said. Maybe that the tires are not made for performance even though they are very wide. They are still eco tires made for confort and low resistance. The car is pretty much what I expected after reading all the reviews and comments from other members. The surprise was not so big. I does correspond to what I want and I like the shape and size of the car. The ground clearance is bit higher than that of a car, but not like an SUV. Just nice.
I did not have much time to try all the settings and gadgets but they look like a lot of fun for a techie like me. When I got on to the highway, I had a pickup in front of me on the ramp going about 75 I guess. I pushed on the boost button and next I looked at the speedometer after passing the pickup I was at 164km/h. Just like that. Everything was so quiet and smooth I did not notice the speed.
Anyway, I will be hitting that track button pretty often in the next days.

Did you order the performance? Sorry. Nvm. Lol

When did you place your order?

If anyone going to test drive, can they review the ergo massage seat? I've been to an Q7 recently and it's massage is fantastic, do you think Genesis can provide that type of supremacy since Asian knows how shiatsu, way earlier than the Germans?! Lol.

I just confirmed my order for the Performance in white with blue leather. It is apparently on the Pacific on the way to Vancouver. I was told it would arrive end of June or early July. I didn't think to ask for a VIN but it's mine!
I was order #48 (2nd week in February).

Test drove mine Sunday, Dealer told me same thing ordered performance white with black interior. Also that I needed to let her know if we were proceeding within a couple of days. Said last night we will be taking it!

I have test drive scheduled today at Mississauga Genesis … looking forward to it !
its all in the eye of the beholder … hence I would say the mint certainly has a slight green haze in the mix. Looks fantastic ..
Depending on where you are located , Mississauga Genesis at Square One has the mint with the white cream interior ! Looked great but mint is not the colour for me

Still waiting in Winnipeg for our demonstrator to arrive, but it sure sounds great so far. As for not comparing to the Ev6 and Ioniq, I feel it’s inevitable. I get brands are sharing platforms to offset costs. However if they want to share platforms, batteries and motors there opening up a comparison to themselves.

I fear how much the Ioniq and EV6 will increase in price next year to close the gap. That being said I think the HMG kind of botched this release. I get the GV60 has many great interior upgrades, but taking away the upgraded stereo (which the base could still be comparable to the Bose in the twins) the surround view monitor, self parking, blind view cameras and HD2 that all come on the loaded twins. Asking $10,000 price increase and $15,000-$20,000 consumer cost increases over those models is absurd. Unfortunately because they are also severely limiting the import of the EV6 and Ioniq to Canada and making any new orders wait 2 years is causing people like me to feel that there isn’t really much choice and will have to pay the premium just to receive a vehicle. To me that’s not the best way to build a long lasting customer relationship when you are a brand trying to build a reputation on your customer service

In other non-north american market, you could choose a more basic version.
Like RWD!, no vision roof, 19 inch wheels, but Canadian only gets to pick two choice.
But, likewise, the price for north american market, are slighly bit cheaper than other markets (including Korean domestic market), if you consider the same equipment along with the FX rate.
In my case, trading in my SUV at 12L/100km, (20000km/year) @2.2$/Liter make sense, since I would save the extra 2 year of gas by paying the difference of the GV6/i5, for which I didn't reserve a year ago. The gas saving is 10560$ already making the choice clear with better interior. Even without the fed/provincial saving.
