In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The only problems I seems to have with my 2012 genesis sedan3.8 is the Bluetooth will not stay connected to my new phone. also the power tilt mirrors won't tilt down anymore when I put it in reverse. is there something I'm doing wrong. only had the car for one month.so any advice will help.
:)

You need to have the mirror switch to the left for both mirrors tilting down or the right for just the passenger side mirror tilting down. If it's in the center, neither mirror will tilt.

Had many problems with the soft brakes until they finally sent a recall notice to fix at 72000. During the recall repair I told them about a sound my engine made on atartup. I got a brand new $12000 engine send in to replace mine. No sound since. Had some electrical problems like with the camera early on and the headlights later, again, repaired under warranty. Gotta give to Hyundai, they stood up and stood behind the warranty, it took some time on the brakes but that may have been the dealer. Lastly, the chrome is peel g on my wheels. That I have not figured out.

I'm really frustrated with the way my car wanders on the highway. It meanders so bad that I'm ready to end my relationship with it. I changed the rearward facing control arm and it helped a little. I've been to the dealer multiple times and they always say everything in the front and rear suspension is tight and in good shape but clearly their's something wrong.
Has anyone experienced my problem? And what fixed it?

The module for the adaptive cruise control had to replaced, glad it was under warranty as the part was over $4800.00!

The 5.0 is an oil thirsty beast too, 1 quart every 2k or so.

Still, nice car, great value.

What!? I don't think it's normal.....I'd take it back to dealer and check that out asap!

I have a 2015 Genesis 5.0. I bought a demonstrator from the dealer with approx 9500km on it. Before I took delivery of the vehicle they had to do 5 recall updates to the car, ie tires, rear tail light, etc.
I have only had one issue that needed repair. The Blind Spot Detection system needed repair. they had to replace the left sensor, done under warranty.
I have only had the car approx 4 months, just love it.

Had a check engine lite back on 11/3. Service checked it out and it was a "miss-fire" code PO300-P0303. They flushed injectors in case I had some bad gas (COSTCO GAS). So far so good it only happened once and at the time I wondered if it might have been a signal problem from one of the many indicators. They also performed 2 recall items: stop lamp ECU replacement and inspect inside door handle on drivers side. Had a nice surprise when I picked up the car.....NO CHARGE! Xmas came early!!!! I added a can of Royal Purple max-cleaner....seems to be working since I can see some black on the exhaust tips after I let her out for air.

Are you sure your tires are good? I've had similar issues with bad tires in the past.

I just went over the 50k mile mark in mine, and have had really nothing but a great overall experience.

I noticed a couple times my driver side window control sketches out, but works fine, so I think it was a one-off. Have to get brakes done (I've probably waited a little too long on this, admittedly), and I've replaced the Dunflops with Pirelli P Zero Neros which was a huge improvement.

But she's held up well and no complaints really.

I had times where my USB drive wasn't being read and I had to unplug/replug it and once my sound system didn't work (pulled a fuse for a sec to fix it). Pretty good outside of that so far!

Has anyone had issues with the heated/ventilated seats as far as it doesn't feel like its working 100% not the intermittent problems people have been having, but it feels like the ventilated seats are working at like 20% capacity and the heated seats take solid 10-15 mins to get pretty warm.

Just got the transmission replaced in my 2012 genesis 5.0. 66K miles, started to shift hard 2-3, 4-5, and 6-5 downshifts. The transmission was replaced under warrenty

2-3-4 upshifts on 2012 V6 were getting more and more abrupt.
Being replaced under warranty this week.
35,500 miles & 3-years old to the month.
Got a 2015 5.0 signature+tech loaner.
Except for the 100 HP and the seats I don't like this car as much.

I drive.. everything smooth..come to a stop sign or a redlight i break... when the time comes to move nothing happens!
the car is not off and doesnt shut down but it seems the gas pedal just dies. I have to restart the car and then the check engine light comes on!
took it to the dealership and they have no idea what the problem is! HELP???? ANYONE?

Interior lights were flickering slightly at first, now they flicker all the time (at least the ones that work). Dome lights work sporadically, they can light up the whole car one day and leave it in total darkness the next. Dealer installed hands free phone system works but you have to basically shout into it. Paint on door handles flaking off (except for the drivers which I had replaced right before warranty ran out. Paint on shark fin fading out as is the paint around the license plate area. area in front of rear wheals are cracking more and more. Plastic door around trunk latch keeps falling off into the spare tire well. Driver side door seal gets rubbed every entry and splits. Now use black duct tape to cover it. Dash board on passenger side has four inch split in it. Upholstery company wouldn't touch it because of air bag. Plastic seat trim under drivers seat will not stay attached. Replaced tilt switch in steering wheel myself after intermittent operation for three years. Chrome on original tire rims flaking off. Change dunflops out for Goodyear Arivas after two years of ownership, four years later still driving on them. I average about 10k a year driving in a college town. Engine runs great. I do my own oil changes and maintenance.
The interior electrical lighting has been the most annoying.

The following recall issued by NHTSA for the Genesis Cuope:

SUMMARY:
Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 Genesis Coupe vehicles manufactured December 28, 2011, to April 6, 2015, equipped with manual transmissions. In the affected vehicles, if the differential and the suspension rear crossmember were not properly aligned during vehicle assembly, the bolts that secure the differential may loosen.

Wow. I've never heard of things just breaking like that unless there is repeated friction applied or you slice the inside with a knife...O.o Is it possible you drive through salt a lot and don't wash the wheels? I'm using cheap winter wheels (that I need to repaint) in order to avoid issues with the stock ones and my other 11 year old car had no scratches or any interior damage but I always see women with purses or guys with keys constantly scratching their cars so I'm assuming that causes most of the damage. I've actually not heard of many rust or paint issues with Genesis sedans so I'm surprised you have that.

The good news is you can replace things like door handles for cheap, repaint areas and your light issues sound like maybe just a bad relay. Hopefully you can get most things fixed for very cheap.
