If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I now own a 2015 Genesis!

It should fit in the same holes as the flying H. But 2015 wings are a little different size, so not 100% sure.

When I asked the dealer for the wings on the back he said no problem. So I'm hoping he knows I want the H off and the wings to replace it. I'll let you know, with pics.

The wings are simply added to the same holes once the flying H on the trunk is removed. As mentioned there is a design change and a fitment change for the 2015 model year so you do need to purchase the correct ones if you want it to fit and match. For the newcomers, this part is KDM (Korean Domestic Market) so it was made for the Genesis by Hyundai and is on the cars sold in Korea. Here is the one I purchased. http://www.ebay.com/itm/271429095520?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

I'm hoping my dealer knows what he's doing and gets the right fit. I will hold on to your info for any problems. Thanks!!

For the DIY person yes ebay. Most dealer will also do this for you but do expect to pay about $100+. Pretty simple, I warm the old emblem up with a hot air gun, once really hot you can peel it off but do be careful as you can burn your fingers. Once off you need to get the remaining residue off with goo gone or lighter fluid. The old one is fastened the same way as the new one. Pegs line it up and sticky tape does the rest. Clean the surface with rubbing alcohol and then apply.

As I negotiated with my salesman I asked for the wings on the back to replace the H and he agreed and put it in writing on the contract. After we were done and we were outside he told me that the dealer usually gets $200. for the change. Go figure. Maybe his manager told him its coming out of the money over MSRP I paid. Or his share!

Ok, so when I got home I looked at my hood wing emblem and visualized it replacing the Hyundai logo on the trunk and I have some reservations about the size/proportion to the area of the hood vs. trunk. The wings might be a little big for that area...I don't mean in regard to if it will fit in the area, but whether it will look good based on the size of the wings to the back area vs. the size of the wings above the large grill and large hood. Just a thought to consider before making the change and if you think it will look good, go for it! I'd love to see pictures once it's complete. Thanks!

So does the middle east. I think he missed the part about KDM.
You guys are right. That is first time I ever saw a Russian Hyundai website.

So I guess that only in Korea (aka KDM) is it sold as a Genesis brand (has no Hyundai badges on it). That is where the guys on ebay get the badges (they go to a Hyundai dealer in Korea and order the OEM rear badge and then import it to the US).

I am pretty sure your dealer knows what you mean, because there is only one H on the 2015 (unlike 2009-2014). But make sure he knows to get the 2015 wings, which are larger than before.

I received my trunk wing today.....and I don't have the car yet. hehe I'm just being proactive. ;-) It's in a Hyundai labeled package and has an OEM Part#. (reads "ASSY -TRUNK LID)

Hopefully this link posts correctly. Here is a Korean version Genesis with the wing emblem on the trunk. I think it looks GREAT!!

Does the wing you received look smaller than the wing on the front? looks that way in the picture. I like it.

Just from eyeing it, I thinks it's the same size. It measures 8"L x 2"W (at the widest point in middle) It's slim and sleek looking. IMO, I think the size is perfect, especially since the car pretty big. I think it will make a bold statement. Exactly what I want! ;)

Maybe someone who has the car can measure the hood wing to compare.

On the 2009-2014, the front and rear wings were different sizes, but they also were different in that the front wing was slightly curved to fit the hood, and the rear wing was flat. So don't let a dealer put a front wing on the rear, because it may not lay completely flat.

Question....how do you know for certain with this new part if the posts are the same as the Hyundai logo on the trunk for mounting?

I don't know for sure, but the holes were the same on the 2009-2014 models. If for some reason they are not, you can just grind the posts off with a dremel tool. That is what people did on the hood, since the USA hood did not have holes in it and KDM hood badge had posts.

I'll be anxious to hear when you get it...when do you expect delivery?

I sort of answered for the other guy, as I am not getting a 2015 anytime soon (my current Genesis only has 48K miles on it and I don't drive much).

There are various importers who sell them on websites or ebay. They buy them at Korean Hyundai dealers (since they are OEM parts on the Korean Genesis) and sell them here. Some people have ordered and received them (such as Hey Gurl above).
