  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Is there a way to marry a key to your personal settings?

Then you are going to have to set them with your memory buttons in the driver door. On the G80 there are two buttons on the door panel along with a memory button. Set your desired positions then press the memory button and the number you choose 1 or 2. The next time you seat yourself in the vehicle press the same number and you will be positioned in the proper settings. The FOB doesn't have any capacity to remember these settings. The seating, mirror, steering wheel positions are directly connected with the buttons located on the drivers door. There is no pairing the Key Fob.

Actually no, you have control over what you decide to do. Just attempting to give you options, help and suggestions. The reason you can't find it in the manual; what you are asking for after you explained your purpose and intent doesn't exist, unless it is completely different from other 2018/19 Genesis automobiles.

Have a wonderful day!

also the G80 (can't speak for the G70 so hopefully someone can chime in) will remember the last setting used when you exit, so if you press the Memory 1 and drive, then some knuckle mechanic comes along and moves your seat, it will not reset to memory 1, it will remember the last position, so you will have to press memory 1 again to get your settings back, but if there is no change between the time you turn off and restart the car it should always stay in the last used settings.

it's NOT available in the G80 (or the G90 to my knowledge) so it is natural to assume it isn't available in the G70 either.

post up the G70 manual pages that prove Spanky wrong..

Not possible on the G90. I would be surprised if it is on the G70. Surprise me!

Ok...here it is...I owe an apology to the Spankster. This does not exist :(

Guess I jumped on you since you have battled with a few of us here with false info ;) Again...sorry.

I just called the guy who showed me the car in Toronto...and asked him how to do it...since he is the one that showed me (even though I didn't pay attention as I stated).

He instantly apologized and said he was wrong. He said the car was so new back than that he just assumed. Not even sure what he showed me.

So...that settles it. Does not exist. Which is nuts since my 2013 A4 has it...and my wife's Honda Pilot has it. WTF.

Sorry folks. I should probably just shut up until I have the car myself and access to a manual !!!

That explains why I couldn't find it in the manual when I looked previously!

Yeah it doesn't exist. No Driver 1 and Driver 2 profile. Miss it cause I had it on my 2012 TL SH-AWD.

Hint: If available, dowload the manual from mygenesis.com and use the pdf instead of the paper manual. I find it easier to search around for things.

What happens when both people get in the car and each has their fob and personalized settings?

Wonder if the G70 manual is available for download at mygenesis.com. Nobody have talk about it.

The car picks the closest proximity to the driver seat when the car is started and display Welcome Driver 1 or 2 when started. It has never f**ked up once while my wife sat in the passenger seat with her keys as well!

I’ve looked everywhere...even called Genesis. Not available.

Only the S.Korean version. Which using Google Translate kinda sucks. Pictures are lost...and bad grammar makes some items confusing.

yeah I was shocked my G80 didn't have it, I had it on my 2000 Silverado with Memory Seats.

I've mentioned it on this site before in one of those "wish you had these features" threads. I think this is a huge miss by Genesis. Every other vehicle in this segment has it, BMW, 3/4/5 series, MBZ C/E/S classes, Audi A4/A5/A6, Lexus IS/GS/LS, Acura TLS/RLS.

It is really disappointing that Genesis left this option out.

when the G80 manuals where not available, several of us here contacted Genesis through that Contact Us link and within a few hours they were updated.

Seat position and memory buttons middle left hand side of photo, just forward of the door handle between the driver arms . #1 & #2 with memory SET button. Oh my gosh, it's a Genesis G70 also! Oh no, they're all in the same place in every G70 photo, just like in every Genesis produced.:thankyouspin::hillarious: . Here, you can look here for yourself;

Genesis G70 Interior - Google Search:

That's ok, we all make mistakes. Sometimes, it just takes a little patients with yourself and others. Beefer, you're ok in my book. Just lighten up a little, not for me but for yourself.

This discussion isn't about whether the car can memorize seat positions. We are talking about marrying the smart keys to position 1 and position 2, so that when you unlock the car, the car automagically adjusts the seats according to which position is on the key. I checked my ENGLISH manual and there is no mention of such a function.

That is for the non-2019 G80 and G90.

No 2019 vehicles have been added. So this does no good.
