  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Lexicon Sound System Review 2012 V8 Genesis

Does the Genesis Lexicon system play SACD as well? I have a few discs from both formats. I will have to bring them with me when I narrow down my purchase so I can see what everyone is talking about.

And you're doing the right thing by bringing a test disc!
Some poster above self-described as an audiophile but didn't.

Yes, as I said above, I did bring a DVD-Audio with me. I did not play it on the actual test drive, as it was getting late in the day and they were about to close, and as I was going to buy the car anyway if it drove out fine. But I agree if that if DVD-Audio playback will be the make or break issue, then you obviously have to check that out in order to decide.

BTW there are ways now to rip SACD to the computer so its possible, yet difficult, to convert them to dvd-audio for playback in the Genesis.

Ok, so I was curious and found this complete list of all DVD-Audio's that have been published. Here is the full list.

Granted, many of these are hard to find and are very expensive. Now to find a couple I don't have to test when I find the perfect pre-owned 4.6 with tech package!

They also have This list of dvd-audio's by rating. A good one to help decide which may sound better.

I just received a DVD-A Marvin Gaye Collection. I cranked it up and it was awesome. I will be buying more discs off of Amazon. I would suggest everyone buy a disc and try it and see how great it sounds. After listening to XM and FM even IPOD....this is off the charts.

Again, see the thread called Music For the Lexicon for great suggestions too.
