  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

List your problems since taking ownership

The Genesis is the most reliable vehicle i ever owned. My minor problems were:
  • Driver's seatback would not go upright enough. Required reprogramming.
  • Sirius/XM would lose the station that was set when the car was shut off. Head unit repaced.
  • Slight door rattle in LR door when closing the door. Replaced door handle. Better, but not perfect.
  • Tire recall. I like the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S I got from Discount Tire much better than the Hankooks.

1. A/C- I feel like it's not cold enough for this upcoming California heat.

Really? Mine blows cold and strong. I anticipate that the G2 will be one of the better cars I've ever owned for keeping me cool during the hot Texas summers.

Are your windows tinted? Just about everyone around here with any sense gets that. Also, since I rarely carry any rear seat passengers, I plan on leaving the rear side shades up along with using the auto rear shade for warmer sunny days.

You can also shut off the rear vents in the center console... that will increase the airflow/pressure up front.

You can also turn on the ventilated seats!

One blown speaker replaced under warranty. Other than that, my car has been awesome. I love this damn car!

No problems after 15 mos

I would like to shoot the nag screen, tho

All four Michelin Primacy MXM4s needed to be replaced.
Head unit RIP.
Inexplicable dead battery (just once).
Left rear window catches and "pops" when opening.

1. Original tires replaced w/ Michelin's prior to recall, but under Hyundai customer care program due to bad ride quality, especially after sitting > 1 day

2. Ultimate GPS head unit lost track on map multiple times per drive. Fixed by replacing head unit.

3. Driver side door black vertical trim piece loose and made noise when touched (broken retaining clip). Fixed by replacing.

4. Drivers door rear window switches very intermittent. Looked at by dealer, something reset, worked fine for a couple days. Still causes issues.

5. Rear roof panel/sunroof seal damaged/peeling. Replaced entire rear panel seal.

2015 AWD Tech with 6,000 miles. Tire Recall and all front parking sensors replaced due to falsely being on with nothing in front of the car. Zero complaints, Love this car.

I did have the battery is failing message come on once, after a year of owning the car. Once I turned off car, and came back later, the message was off and never came on again

What would have caused that error message to come on?

The 3D sound effect is not available sometimes, and a reset brings it back, but it will disappear again. For this one, very minor fault, they are replacing components relating to the AV unit.
Apart from that, nothing.

Oh, I did have a group of young guys at the gas station asking me questions about my Aston Martin. I felt very insulted :)

The only issue thus far, the rear A/C fan did not work from day one. Had it repaired with my first oil/filer/tire rotation. Bad switch. No other problems in 8200 miles and 7 months of ownership.

Idk...am I tinted enough? Lol

My 2013 Chrysler 300S has a colder a/c system which makes me wonder. Also, the vented seats aren't THAT cool, more like a fan to cure sweaty booty.

It's only when I turn the a/c on high does it cool down the car quicker. My main issue is keeping it in the low setting, and the a/c is not running cool like it should be. Is anyone having this issue? Or is it just me...?

Not a big deal I guess, have dealer look at it when I take it in for an oil change.

My A/C runs super cool. In fact, colder than any car I've ever owned. I have to keep it set at 75 degrees or so just so I don't freeze. The ventilated seats are also better than Mercedes, Lexus, or Toyota. I'm very impressed, although the truth will come during the my first summer in the South.

Interesting that no one mentioned the A/C mildew or musty smell, when there were several threads on the subject last summer.
I've experienced it, then it seemed to go away.
Now on some warmer days it seems to be presenting again.

It's not summer yet - wait and see....
