  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello everyone. I'm interested in the rear lip spoiler for my 4.6 w/tech Genesis, but would like to see more pictures of this spoiler installed. Can anyone help me out?

I don't have any pics but I have seen one in person and it really looks good on the genesis

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Is it safe to say that this is a mod part and not genuine Hyundai part? Would like to see a picture. Would be interested in a lip spoiler, but not a wing.

I would assume it is a mod. Haven't seen anything offered by the dealership.

I have found this spoiler on many websites and it's the same spoiler on all. The lowest priced one WITH having the company paint it to match is $245 out the door with shipping charges. The website page w/spoiler is http://www.woodview.com/customer/home.html

I am going to order it, and I will post pics once I finish.

There is a photo in Koreanautoimports.com in the Body Kit Section.

Looks good to me. Matter of fact, the Four Piece Body Kit, (does not include the spoiler) looks good and is a very good price. It would have to be painted, but for the price, it is a great deal.

Not much of a wing, IMHO...

That's why the spoiler is so perfect! LOL!

Gives it that sporty look without the teeny bopper image like the STi or Evo wing.....

Spoiler is scheduled to be delivered by Tuesday, Feb 3.

I will try and get some pics posted by the weekend at which time I will also be installing front and rear wing emblems too.

Well the install is a cake walk. The spoiler does come with installation instructions. Below is my version of install or the summary of the installation sheet.

1. Clean trunk where spoiler is to be placed with rubbing alcohol.

2. Set spoiler on trunk to find the correct placement being sure it's center on trunk. (have fun trying to measure this one out!) I put tape on each side of the spoiler to mark where the spoiler is to be placed in between.

3. Peel off the red liner (and don't touch the sticky tape!) off the spoiler and "set" on trunk in between markings previously made and if satisfied, press firmly on a section of spoiler about 30 seconds or so, and keep moving along the spoiler and hold again for 30 seconds until all of the spoiler length has been pressed. This will ensure cohesion.

4. Grab a beer/mixed drink and kick back and enjoy your new spoiler!

NOTE:

Best results for install are above 72 degrees F (did mine in the mid sixties) and DO NOT drive the car for 12 hours after the spoiler install. I checked the adhesion after about 45 minutes and the spoiler was on the trunk like concrete.

I had the company where I ordered the spoiler, which is listed in my previous post also paint the spoiler to match. You submit your paint code upon ordering (AF for black noir) located on the piller when you open driver door.

I am very satisfied with the paint quality and how perfectly the paint matches the car. The spoiler is high quality, durable material and I would recommend this company.

very nice & thanks for the pics

Pretty nice. Reminds me of the lip spoiler I had on the M. Thanks for allowing us to follow your process! Who's next? ;)

scottdk,

I love the looks of your spoiler. I checked the website you posted, and then I checked the color code that the website has, and found that the website color code is not the same as the color code posted on the car door post. Car is Champagne.

Their website lists the 09 Genesis Gold as code "9G".
The color code posted on the door post is code "ZT"

When you ordered yours, for your color, which color code did you use?

MY color code is "AF." Any color other than Black Noir would be a different paint code.

I didn't even notice a section on that website that showed paint codes. I just searched the internet for it, and found mine that way.
