  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Mine is chrome plated and a green insert on top, any one know where I can get a replacement.

Huh. The original Gens came with a chrome cap but Hyundai switched to plastic very early due to rusting I was told. I didn't know they switched back.
Can't the service department order it for you? Assuming it's OEM I don't see why not. Or isn't it?

Got green inserted chrome caps on my (wifes) Lexus. They were put on the car so that you can tell the tires were filled with nitrogen instead of FREE air! I will have to look and see if I can tell where they came from as the nitrogen fill came with some type of warranty and roadside assistance, which I believe was registered with a company. I'll look once the car gets home!

Can't you pick them up at your local auto parts shop? I think I have two extra sets somewhere in my garage... they're only a couple a bucks for the set, from what I recall.

Just wanted to followup . . . .

My wifes Lexus has brushed chrome/aluminum caps with at green top. They were installed the last time she took the car for service. Of course I didn't know about this until she got home and showed me the invoice. Basically she was charged $69.99 plus tax to have her tires filled with nitrogen and to be enrolled into some auto club called Nitrofill. Of course I called the dealership and blasted them for this unauthorized scam. I refuse to pay for air as the jury is still out as to whether there is a real gain from filling your tires with nitrogen, especially at $70! Of course they claimed she authorized it. So they took off $25. Not enough in my book. But they are on notice that it won't happen again!

Sorry for the long story about a Lexus. I know this is a Genesis forum. But I promised earlier in this thread that I would let the OP know something about the green caps. Here is the link just in case you are interested in further info.
