  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My 2009 V8 Genesis high mileage updates

Those were the days-------------did you note that the typical dealer labor rate was $10/hour? Because of the car and dealer quality of Ford and GM in those days, I bought a new 1972 Volvo. It was a great car for the time.

With many apologies to the original poster (congrats on your mileage!!), here's a background story on the engineering of the Vega and all that is wrong with large bureaucracies, whether they be big company or big country:

The short-version, we've come a long, long way, and we can mostly thank the imports for kicking the hindparts of GM, Ford, Chrysler, etc so bad that they had to change the way they did things (though I'd argue they still are working on catching up).

Also, ExBMWGuy, water in the tires? How is that even possible?

I would not have believed it if I had not been standing close enough to get wet when he (swearing) pulled the tire off the rim. Three out of the four tires on the car had water in them, and I made him check the spare - same thing. Outside uncovered storage, rain, automated installation equipment, no process inspection = truly poor ride.

I just might have everyone beat. My 09 V6 genny currently has 205,200 miles.
