Albuquerque Genny
Hasn't posted much yet...
I posted a couple of pics the other day after trading in my 2011 3.8 (with Tech pkg) for a new 2015 5.0 Genesis. I've had the car three days now and have to admit that I love everything about. I was worried about the extra weight of the 5.0 compared to the 3.8, but it handles like a dream. Acceleration is quick. Quicker than I expected with the extra weight. The interior feels bigger, but that could just be the 9.2 inch screen. While the heads up display isn't a necessity, I find myself looking at it as opposed to the speedometer. It also gives you the notifications for lane departure and blind spot right there above the dash
I like the concept of the lane keep assist, but that does take a second to get used to. It forces me to use my blinker for every single lane change, which I assume other drivers appreciate
. The panaromic sunroof is a plus (and something I enjoyed in my wife's Santa Fe). And the hands free power trunk is an added plus.
Overall I'm very impressed. More than I actually thought I would be. I loved my 2011, and had no issues with it. This car looks and feels even better. Only downside? If I have to pick one, I'd say that there is SO much in this car. I need to take a day to just sit in it and figure every little thing out. I've attached a couple more pictures including one of my 2011 3.8 next to my new 5.0 at the dealership.
$55,700 MSRP
$1,000 Customer loyalty
$4,000 trade in (owed 18k, dealer gave me 22k for my 2011)
