Been here awhile...
Any one have any issues with 2009 genisis brakes lights not working?
Check the fuse(s). Don't know where it (they) are, but I'm sure that the location is posted somewhere in the owners manual.
If you are close to your dealer, take it there. Probably a warranty issue.
take it to the dealer. it prob. needs a new stop lamp switch.
x2 on checking the fuse
Take your car into dealership for warranty work. Tell them to check out z01 diode. It probably shorted. Same happened to mine but they fixed it in 40 minutes
I also had a brake light problem - rear lights worked but brake lights didn't. I took it to the dealer on a Fri. afternoon. After about two hours of trying to figure out what was wrong, they were going to order a new computer and rent me a car for the weekend (they were out of loaners) when a tech discovered a TSB for a diode under the dash near the steering column. They ended up replacing it with a diode from a used '09 on the lot.
Was there a warning light on dash concerning brake lights not working?I just found out my brake lights don't work on my 10 Gen. I have had 2 steering wheel tilt switches, 1 battery and now a BIG safety issue with the brake lights and they gave you a used part. I am loosing faith in Hyundai. Seems like they have electrical issues.
