My wife just bought a 2011 hyundai sonata limited. Since I have aftermarket wheels on my car im wondering if the oem 18 inch genesis sedan wheels will fit on here sonata and if they would even look good? Any thoughts?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I'd check this out with a wheel dealer. Seems a rear driver has a different offset than a front wheel vehicle.

Personally, I would suggest picking up a set of SE 18" wheels. They would fit perfectly although the tires will be a lower profile so you have to have the wheels and tires. You won't be able to use your 17" Limited tires on your car. But I'm sure you knew that part.

I would say this. Whatever you do, you ought to consider OEM wheels. They will balance better and look far better over the years than the aftermarket wheels, in my personal opinion. I'd check out ebay for some idea of what the cost will be.

The downside is that the wheels will pick up curb rash more readily than the wheels and tires you currently have. I know this from personal experience with my 2013 SE.

The entire point of this idea was simply because I have oem genesis sedan 18 inch wheels sitting in my house. I don't think it matters if they are rwd or fwd. they aren't staggered so wht would they not fit?

Genesis - RWD. Sonata -FWD. Typically FWD and RWD cars have different offsets. That's what you need to check.

My fathers '14 Sonata Hybrid got a flat once, and it does not have a spare. I know the spare fits without a problem. Im sure they will be fine.

Just slap a wheel on and see if it fits or not without any issues.

Both Genesis and Sonata share the same size of the center bore, bolt pattern and offset +/-4mm
So, yeah...I think it should be fine.

edit:
Actually, the offset might be more than 10mm. It depends which year is your car.

I edited my previous post with more info.

What color is Sonata?

I don't think they look better then OEM wheels. I'll find picture of white Sonata and do that again if you want.

Those wheels ate the turbo wheels in canada. The wheels in canada are the same on the gls as the limited. Please do it on a white sonata that is tinted.

here you go...

(still don't like them on Sonata)

I certainly think the standard SE Sonata wheels look better than the Genesis wheels. I've got a near new 2013 in my garage and I wouldn't change anything especially the wheels. The only downside is the danger of curb rash.

What I would do is to sell the Genesis wheels on ebay and buy a set that is designed for the car. And I was specifically informed by a wheel dealer the offset is different. (on a different car) I just don't believe it is worth taking a chance on tearing up a wheel bearing or other problems. You can't go wrong with OEM equipment.

The SE wheels look better than the Limited wheels IMO. Believe the Limited are 17" wheels without the sport suspension.

One more thing, the Genesis wings just don't look right on the Sonata. I have those wings on my Genesis front and rear and center caps and they look great but they are designed for the Genesis; not the Sonata.

Suggest checking ebay for pricing. There are many wheels there for both the Sonata and Genesis.

If i put the wheels on the sonata i would take the genesis badges off obviously lol

Yes, you could. I have a set in the garage I took off my Genesis. But the simple fact is the stock 18" SE wheels look better. The Genesis wheels look fine on the Genesis but they look "weird" on the Sonata. That's my honest opinion.

To me the Genesis wheels on the Sonata look mismatched to the car. Might look better in person but me personally would not install them.
