  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Official 0-60 & 1/4 mile thread

you could try to add a couple gallons of e85 if available. this problem with boostane is it only adds octane. in locations where its warm or hot, like where i live it does not help to cool anything. e85 will actually help keep temps lower as well. or just add wmi and all problems with octane and cooling are solved lol

I went to the drag strip yesterday afternoon. I was pretty disappointed with how the car ran. My best time was 12.8 at 110. I was expecting better times having a jb4 on map 3 (using boostane mixed with 93). However the DA was 2200' (90 degrees at sea level) yesterday so it makes sense now with you saying boostane can cause the car to run hot.

I would kill for that da lol. So I have found that 100 octane race gas to be much more consistent. There is no mixing needed so a lot less room for error. Granted the adding of boostane is pretty fool proof but it does not guarantee that it will mix evenly inside the entire tank. I’ve tried the e30 mixtures one the higher maps with less than stellar success as well. The high pressure fuel pump just can’t keep up with 21 pounds of boost when running e30. So for me race gas is the ticket even though it’s an expensive 8$ a gallon.

Are you in Cali by any chance? If tracks are open down there I may make a trip to SoCal ha

No, I'm in Florida.

I also just checked my time slips from when I was stock and my 1/8 mile time and trap are exactly the same (didn't run the 1/4 mile stock). So the car is not running 100%. I'll have to get some logs over to Terry.

you can post up all your slips and if you want you can dm me privately to help look at logs if terry doesnt get back quick enough for you.

What all mods do you have?

I currently have a JB4 and BMS Intakes. Everything else is stock.
so when i was running jb4 plus bms intakes only i was still at the 13.1-13.3 range. just for reference. i used both map 3 and 5 as well

Unrelated, how do you direct message on this forum?

What should I go with JB4 or Lap3 and what are each power gains??

I would say Read, read and even more reading. It’s all about what your looking for. Undetectable by dealer or massive power (You can get both with either).
I just read every thread and formed my own opinion.

Still curious on post #600. Best I saw was today and was 4.55s on Map 3. This is with:

  • 4.5 gallons of E85. The rest is 93oct.
  • JB4 with fuel wires.
  • Denso gapped plugs.
  • Pedal Tuner.
  • DIY Intakes.
  • AWD 3.3T Genesis G70 Sport (in Sport Mode).
My first run up to 103mph with launch control got me a 4.66s 0-60mph (note my Ign values) and a 2nd run with launch control used doing a 0-60mph run (4.55s).
