  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Official 0-60 & 1/4 mile thread

Above is pertaining to Map 3

With that much E85 you'd probably be good with Map 4 (depending on which firmware version you're running).

Also, I noticed a couple things with your Dragy graphs. Your launch doesn't seem very aggressive. Are you RWD? Are you losing traction when launching? Also, it looks like you are letting it auto shift. Try manually shifting with the paddles. Click the upshift when you hit ~5250 rpm on your 1-2 shift, and about ~5500 on your 2-3 shift.

I would almost think you should be a little quicker than that. Maybe in the 4.3 range at least

The shifting was going to be my next suggestion lol

What is the elevation, temperature and humidity?

I’ve gotten 4.4 stock.

I am AWD. I think my Launches suck! I’m not loosing traction that I can tell. It’s in auto mode - never tried the paddles for getting a 0-60mph et. I thought everyone was getting best times in auto mode?

Try shifting manually. Use Todd’s shift points. Just know the car will shift after that but at those points hit the paddles.

I start right out using LC with the paddle shifter in 1st gear right? Can’t start in auto then go to 2nd? Guessing it doesn’t shift proper in that manner?

Correct

While you can start out in auto then shift to second, the point we're making is that it's best to just be in manual mode from the get go.

I'm AWD as well. Sport mode, TC, SC off.

Slow down to almost stopped, let off the brake while pulling up and keeping the e-brake held. The car will kinda lock into a stop. While holding the e-brake up, give it 3/4 gas for 1 second and then let off the e-brake and roll into the gas. Your launch will be much better.

Then use the shift points @Toddasaurus gave you.

Not using brake snip, either.

^ that’s awesome. You beat me now as well. I think I was at 3.78 or 3.79.

Imagine with brake snip. 3.6 probably.

@Toddasaurus

Nice job! I posted a new PR as well. LC using 2nd gear. I'm just losing too much traction in first.

BAM! Nice work man. Some serious pull in that Santiago Silver AWD G70... Now the rest of you wish you had the same spec... (y)

For those with JB4 - guessing all of you? For ign_2 thru ign_6 I'm seeing numbers of 0.8 often, and sometimes even a bit higher on the V17 firmware. My understanding is I should be seeing 0's across all those. Anything above 0 means timing is being pulled is my understanding.

  • V17 firmware.
  • Fuel = 4.5 gallons of E85. The rest is 93oct.
  • JB4 with fuel wires.
  • Denso gapped plugs.
  • Pedal Tuner.
  • DIY Intakes.
  • AWD 3.3T Genesis G70 Sport.

While it's true that you're having some timing pulled, anything less than 3° is considered normal. I wouldn't worry about it!

What are others seeing? Any timing being pulled at all - if so how much?

Pretty much about the same. Roughly 1° here and there.

When testing the limits I ran into losing as much as 6° in just one cylinder after shifts. Terry @ BMS told me it was okay and safe....but that's way too much in my opinion.

Also, I had 3/4 tank of gas, and my WMI tank was full (2.25 gallons).

I have no doubt I could get into low 3.6's, and probably even high 3.5's using brake snip.

Mighty impressive Todd! I guess the larger intercooler and the WMI got your time down from an already impressive time of 3.9.
The quarter mile or 0-100 time would be interesting, but understandably harder to test/measure safely.
