  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Pics of my G70

In Canada, the grey stitching would only be available on the blue car. It's not an option with the Siberian Ice or the Santiago Silver exterior.

Not true...for the top trim 3.3T Sport that is. Every single color minus Santiago Silver and Siberian Ice has the black with white/grey stitching available.

To add...only the brown and green have the grey Brembo's.

That's dumb that they limit the interior color options based on exterior color. I can understand limiting Brembo colors based on exterior paint, but interior colors should be independent of exterior color.

This is for Canada. Who knows what the US ends up getting.

On a side note...I was messing around with different countries. Russia only gets the 2.0T. And...they get the G90 L...the thing is HUGE.

Two reasons. It simplifies manufacturing by limiting the number of choices. Less inventory, less material handling and warehousing, less space needed in assembly areas.
It prevents people from choosing hideous color combinations from being seen by the general public. Just because I think turquoise seats would look great in a red car. . .

Gotta say, I'm not crazy about the red stitching. At a minimum, they could let you choose the grey stitching option in conjunction with any exterior color.

The last part is especially true...especially in regards to leasing. If you buy a car with hideous color combo's...it's on you to try to sell it eventually, etc. But if you lease...and give the car back...the dealers then have to get rid of these cars that they know they won't be able to sell.

Every car maker out there does that thought except for Porsche; Porsche lets you do whatever you want more or less.

Oh I understand why they do it, for manufacturing purposes and to limit stale inventory... but how DARE they tell me that red calipers don't go with a green exterior?! Blasphemy!!

I was referencing what I bought. I didn't check the availability for the other models.

I wasn't crazy about the red stitching either, until I saw it in person.

More shots of my toy, all shined up earlier today. I really like the Himalayan Grey with the gunmetal wheels, but I'm really thinking Serengeti Brown for the next one.

My last cars have been dark. Black or a dark gray. I want a lighter car this time. I will never get black again...that is for sure. Not a fan of red.

So it's down to this silver, white...or the blue I have been seeing...since it looks so awesome. The Nurburg Green (sp?) looks sweet with the rims...but I think that color would be considered dark.

Just curious, because I have never had a black car, what did I you dislike? Heat? Shows dirt? Shows scratches?

The only thing is...the red looks great...but I am not a "red" kinda guy. I wanted the Ice, Silver or the Blue...and really want the black seats with white stitching.

I realize to be practical, with two engines, two transmissions, AWD v RWD, eight exterior colors and various trim levels, there has to be some limits on combinations. Also, any given dealer will likely only start with a handful of cars...but, perhaps during this delay, the hardworking folks over in Korea are working OT to build up a supply.

According to an article I located at Bigger not always better - Automotive Manufacturing Solutions the capacity at Ulsan plant 5 is “ 24-28 cars per hour, partly due to the premium nature of the vehicles produced” which would seem to include all three (G90, G80, G70.)

All of the above really. And to me...black hides character lines of the car. Lighter colors show contours better.

If you go for the Serengeti, please post pictures. It seems to be the only colour that doesn't have any images available, other than briefly in a video review in Abu Dhabi. I've looked through the Canadian and Global media galleries and nada.

These are available on eBay... it says there has been 12 of them sold. Any owners here have one by any chance? Or has anybody ever owned a leather case for their key fob before and can comment on it (size, bulky, button use...) ???

Same here. It looks over done and over saturated in most pictures, but it is more subtle in appearance. Still would not be my first choice, but possibly not prevent me from getting the silver as I believe red stitching is the only option for this colour.

Anyone know which interior this is? It seems to be the US Sport spec, but I thought Sport came with quilting. And it looks more white than tan.

That's the grey artificial leather.

Thanks for the response! The gray looks really nice. I hadn't considered a light interior before but this is compelling. I wonder which trim it is though, since it has both the artificial leather (normally base) and the manual (sport).

^ that trim is not available in NA as far as i know. the only interior options for the 2.0T Sport 6MT are black Nappa leather with red or grey stitching.
