  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Post purchase price details here (US $ only)

Looking to get my parents a deal on the GV70 does anyone know how to get a Circle A cert now a days? I got mine from R_Spec a while back which is the main reason I have my G70. Trying to get my parents on the genesis bandwagon.
No certs are available right now from what I heard and r-spec hasn't been active lately.
:(

MSRP minus the military discount. No added junk fees. $599 DOC fee plus our states sales tax

Snatched one of the last 6MT left in the USA last July. Also caught the very last round of rebate Genesis had for the '21's. By Summer of 2021, market was already very tight. We got lucky this car sat unsold for some 8 months and the dealer just wanted it gone.

On the used front I picked up a 2019 3.3t fully loaded with under 12,000 miles and every option; plus, a second set of wheels with newish Blizzaks on them (4000 miles). The summer tires were new (less than 200 miles on them), for 40k.

On the plus side, my 6-year-old Charger scat-pack with 57,000 miles is worth over 30k easy. Crazy

Has anyone been able to secure any 22' 3.3's for under MSRP including the dealer adds?

Dealer additions? Don't let those stay in the price. Be willing to walk away and extend your search radius. With Genesis it can be about finding the right dealership as much as the right car.

Under MSRP could be tough in this market but this is also a bit of a niche car and market for it.

Yeah I'm in the Southwest and it looks like Nevada has 2 options for me and Arizona has 1, they're all at MSRP for the most part but not an ounce of wanting to make a deal. When I called one of the nevada stores to make a vegas trip out of it they said don't forget that the online prices is just the starting point and we add some necessary standard options blah blah. By the end of it the conversation ended up either you will pay or someone else will so come down when you are serious about buying.

🙄

Dealers are forgetting that this too shall pass and they'll want these customers to return.

I was looking to swap up to a '22 from my '20 and have 4 dealers in Colorado. One straight up told me to plan MSRP +$5k. The others sounded like MSRP would be possible and only one ever called me back after I cut communication. The Genesis dealership network needs to remember they're not exactly the best part of the brand and stop trying to fleece customers. Bad way to build a strong base. I would check your surrounding ones up this way and even as far as Utah, Kansas and Iowa if you can. Good luck! 👍

Thanks will do it! At this point I'm down to shipping it from Michigan haha! I missed the boat a while back but may be holding out until some inventory balances out!

I'm looking for a 2022 3.3 AWD Sport Prestige for over 6 weeks now!!!
I've contacted over 11 dealerships, inside and outside of Michigan! Nobody is selling at MSRP. Nobody. Doesn't matter if you walk or not, they are NOT selling below MSRP + 5000$.

I sent a formal complaint to Genesis but their response is utterly useless. They made clear to refuse all responsibility in regards to dealership markups.

It's beyond frustrating.
Genesis wants to lift its brand recognition to BMW / Mercedes level, but they provide a Hyundai dealership experience to premium seeking customers.

If I'm not lucky by end of this week, I'll put my order in for a Tesla M3LR / M3P.
I'm (almost) done with this nonsense.

This isn't a Genesis issue. It's industry wide. Supply chain problems are everywhere. In a free market, prices are set by supply vs. demand. It would be like blaming the stock prices being too high when you want to buy low.

Nobody complains that the trade-in value of their cars are sky high. That is prompting a lot of folks to want to get in on the market while the going is good, which is boosting demand and pushing prices further up.

I could probably trade in my Stinger now and pocket at least $5k profit. Trouble is... buying a new car right now would eat up that profit and likely a lot more $$$. No thanks... I'll stay out of the market till it cools off.

The dealer in Huntsville Alabama had two on the lot when I bought mine last month. They charge MSRP and dont add anything else on other than DOC fee.

I just bought my 3.3 Sport Prestige AWD for MSRP plus tax. I refuse to ever pay over sticker.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I bought a '22 G70 Sport Prestige back in the end of Oct. Paid WAY under MSRP for it...

Paid MSRP + ~$400 in doc fees.
2022 G70 3.3 Sport Prestige AWD
After waiting so long, couldn't be bothered to haggle the doc fees down.

I'm seriously considering a '22 G70 3.3T Sport Prestige RWD. I live in El Paso, TX, and the only local dealer, plus the NM one I've used to buy Hyundais lately, both said MSRP... BUT I still need to ask exactly what is charged besides TTL. Most dealers are aholes, and just play the semantics game to make you waste your time. One said no markups, but were charging a mandatory $2K paint protection package. Geez. Others charging $1K doc fee, and crap like that. I also might be forced to sell my immaculate 2021 Tesla M3 LR privately first, if not given the $53K in trade I have on it, which is a fair price IMO (they're being sold from 55 to 60K, since a new one is almost $60K now, and delivery until December at least). Otherwise, I'd try to sell it privately for $55K, to break even with the G70 purchase after TTL.

By the way, saw that Larry Miller (my ALB dealer) has one almost exactly like I want it in Peoria (white/sandstone), but with the more expensive white paint. Both El Paso and ALB have ZERO inventory at the moment. Yes, ZERO, as in not even 1 freaking Genesis car. ALB is getting 3 GV70s at any moment now, however. That's crazy. I also didn't expect to find 'niche' cars sold out. I wanted a discount, since I'll never use neither the valet service, nor the 3/36 service included, but seems like I'll have to pay MSRP (but not a penny more). We'll see what happens :).

Because of a need for a car that day in Chicago, I ended up paying the "mandatory protection" scam. Supply and demand. Could've walked, but needed a car pronto. Fortunately, my insurance company gave me a crazy amount for my totaled car.

Sorry to hear that. But glad you came out okay on both the deal, and the accident. At any rate, what dealers don't realize is we WILL remember those shenanigans in the future, when things get back to normal :). Manufacturers hate that practice, since they don't benefit from the excess charges, plus it affects them when customers 'X' a brand because of a dealer which plays that game. This is especially true in smaller cities, where there's only 1 dealer. I personally just 'X' the dealer, not the brand, for practices like that, since I know they're not condoned by them, but there's not much they can do due to franchise laws. Although some are starting to cut allocation now, when customers complain with proof. You could do that. Ha ha.

Agreed, some manufacturers may frown upon such practices, some individual dealers just ignore. Cash is King!
