I agree with you that it would be more beneficial to others if people posted what discounts from MSRP they were getting from dealers themselves rather than including in the Genesis rebates since those can change from month to month. Or give both the before and after prices. That way it will be easier to do an apples-to-apples comparison. Although I suppose I can understand some people being reluctant to pass on that information because they don't want to be embarrassed if it turns out that it was a bad deal or others have done better. I, personally, don't care if others get a better price. In fact, more power to them!
To answer your question about 5-6% off in March or April, I'll be happy to provide my info on my purchase in October.
MSRP: $56,560
Dealer Discount: $2,698 (4.77%)
Genesis Incentive: $1,500
Cost of Car Itself: $52,362 (7.42% total discount from MSRP)
I don't think OTD is relevant because TTL will be different depending upon where one lives. To be honest, when I made the decision to purchase a 2019, I fully expected to have to pay MSRP, and I was thrilled when Turtleboy posted that Genesis was already offering $1,500 off. Now that I've seen sales figures, I wouldn't be surprised if that goes up in the near future (if it hasn't already).
ETA: I didn't realize that I was in the G70 Forum because I access, read, and reply from the "New Posts" heading at the top of the page. I hope my information is somewhat useful to G70 buyers anyway, and I apologize for any confusion.
