This solution worked for my 13 Equus. The seat generally functions for a while after moving the switch under the seat but will periodically get stuck in "forward only" mode. In my experience, I would say the seat needs the switch adjustment every 4 to 6 months at most. However, I find I forget exactly where the switch is and it takes me longer to find it than to actually adjust it. I did previously pay to have the seat fixed at the dealer one time but now that I know where the switch is under the seat I can quickly fix it myself from time to time and avoid any future expense.Sir you are the poster of the year- this is exactly what worked for my seat. I suspect that the seat access function is wearing out that limit switch. Thanks a ton for the tip.
This post was a great find for me. The most recent adjustment (which was today), I did decide to switch off the easy access seat function which makes the seat go all the way back when you first enter the car and I also took the advice to not set the seat all the way back and gave an inch or so from the farthest position to see if that helps.
