So I was on Korean auto imports and came across these prada headlights for my 2011 4.6 and they are beautiful!!! I was wondering if they're compatible tho. I mean in order for me to have seen them I had to click "Genesis 2009-2011" for them to even pop up so they should be right? They're DRL so idk how it would work. Hopefully plug and play

I've been wondering the same thing about these and the 2012+ headlights. There are some threads on the topic but I didn't find anything conclusive. I'm wondering if the connectors are identical and if the AFLS functionality on my 2010 is compatible with the 2012+ lights as well as the Prada. The Prada setup is fairly costly so I'll likely go with the 2012+ lights if they are compatible as I can source them from a crashed vehicle.

Yeah I want the 2012+ Lights as well. I've heard it's plug and play as long as it's HID to HID. Now I have to decide whether I like the prada or 2012 model better

Yeah I figured I'd need to get a xenon 2012+ setup. Do you know if the AFLS will work with those? In terms of deciding which design to go with I will say if money was no object I'd run Prada all day. There is a local guy here in NorCal who is running a set although I'm not sure if it was a 2009-2011 or a 2012+ car. There is also the possibility that the harness would need to be modified if its not plug and play.

There are some older threads on here that talk about the AFLS on the Prada Lights. Something to do with switching one wire I believe or buying an ECU module.

I remember reading through those but I don't think anyone confirmed a solution. There was mention of swapping wires but no one ever confirmed which ones and another thread mentioned a separate AFLS module for the LED headlights so I'm not sure if its just a module, just the wires, both or something else entirely.

The 2012+ are plug & play. If you have non-HID's, you will have to get non-HID's.
If you have HID's w/ or w/o AFLS then you will have to get the same ones respectively for full compatibility.

As far as the Genesis Prada lights go, they are plug & play for DRL, Turn Signals, Low Beams and High beams (Including auto-levelling). The only issues you will run into are the AFLS Off consistently lit on the dash unless you rewire them. The Genesis Prada lights do not turn left and right. Instead, the one corner LED (1 out of 4 LEDs on the Genesis Prada) gets brighter or dimmer as you turn.

Hope this helps.

Didn't realize this, good information.

Ok guys, i know we keep debating this lol, but my car is in the body shop and lights are going in. I now have the afls light on. The headlights have the male pins and the factory headlight wire harness is female. The us light has all the pins and the prada is missing the lower right pin. So what am I moving where? If the us light was missing a pin it would make sense and switching the pin like the picture, but now I'm not sure? Any ideas?

A good body shop should have a Power Probe. Use that to figure out what pin does what on the Prada headlights, then re-pin US connector accordingly.

I have done this to my car and I can tell you that if you already have AFLS then you don't need to repin anything.
If you want to enable the AFLS function, then you will need a new AFLS ECU that supports the LED headlights then go to Hyundai dealer and have them reprogram the ECU. I luckily have a friend who's a tech at a Hyundai dealer who hooked me up with the programming.

Here is the LED AFLS ECU part number that you need: 92170 3M600.
Here is the website where I bought it from: http://www.tendown.co.kr/front/php/product.php?product_no=4870&main_cate_no=107&display_group=1

I don't know where else you could get this from because the LED headlights were only available in Korea from what I know.

Here are couple photos my friend & I took showing different modes of LED AFLS in the dark:

Normal City Driving Mode(If AFLS is not activated then your headlight will be always in this mode):

Highway Driving Mode ~60mph+ (LED intensity increased): notice how traffic signs are lit up brigther at the end of the road
Highway%201%20-%20More%20lighting%20from%20LEDs_zps9d9yx6pv.jpg

Highway Driving Mode 80mph+ (LED intensity increased + projector angle increased): notice how you can see more of the road divider markings

Bending Light Off:

Bending Light On(notice the left side of the road is brighter compared to above photo):

Personally, I think it is definitely worth it to get the AFLS enabled with the Prada LED headlights.
On the streets, you can't really tell the difference, but on the highway it makes all the difference, because the intensity of the LEDs are increased and the angle of projection is raised at higher speeds.

Let me know if you run into any issues, but Genesis with AFLS already installed does not need to be repinned.
For other people who is planning on doing this, please keep in mind that I tried it on my 2013 Genesis so I don't know if it will work with earlier Genesis before the redesign.

Thanks for the info! And that is the only way to get the AFLS light off?

If you just want the AFLS light to go off and lose the AFLS function then you can pull the fuse for the AFLS and the light will go off.

ECU just showed up, is it hard to get to? I might try to do this over the weekend.

Nice. Where did you source the ECU?
Tendown or were you able to find it somewhere else?

As far as the installation, it is pretty simple.
The service manual suggests that in order to remove the AFLS ECU, the dash has to be removed to take out two 10mm bolts(highlighted red below) from the top, but there was no way I was gonna remove the dash just to remove that small ECU.

So I found a easier way. You can access the two Philips screws once you remove the glove box like the picture below.

Location_zpsxq8dxw1n.jpg

You can easily remove the philips screw on the right side, but the problem is the left one.
You don't have a straight shot for the left one so you need a right angled screw driver.
I spent most of my time trying to remove the left screw due to my small collection of tools, but I'm sure with the right tool it will be a breeze.
Once those two screws are removed, you can disconnect the connector and install the new ECU.

But remember, in order for everything to work properly, you have to go to the dealer and have them download the parameters for the LED AFLS ECU.
If you skip this step, you will find that different functions I described in the previous post will not operate.
Good luck with the installation and let me know if you run into any issues.

Thanks for the info I can do that easy! Question is will the dealer have the info for LED AFLS ECU? I got it from a guy in Korea I have been buying stuff from. I didn't know we could order from TENDOWN to the US.

My friend was able to do it with their dealer scan tool so I am sure other dealers should be able to do it too.
You just gotta find a dealer that is willing to do it, but if you are paying them then why would they refuse?
Where are you located? I hope you can find a dealer that can program it for a reasonable price.

Im in Seattle. My dealer said they could program it but I wasnt sure if it had to a special program or just the one they have. I know when you put any new light in the car it has to be programmed.

That's good to hear. I saw my friend programming it and it had options for HID and LED headlights.
He was just using whatever was in the scanner and it didn't look anything special.
Did your dealer quote you on the programming? I'm curious to know how much they would charge.
