If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Price Paid For 2015 Genesis

Getting close to potentially pulling the trigger on a 3.8 RWD Ultimate. Couple of questions below as I go into final negotiations...

1. I can get Plan A/Hyundai Circle Pricing. Have been told if I use this price, then no other incentives can be applied.
2. Also looked at TrueCar pricing which seems to be competitive with the Plan A. Are they available incentives (Competitive $1K and $1.5k lease cash) able to be deducted from the TrueCar price?
3. Any other options to seek out?

Overall MSRP of the car looking at is around $50,100. Would like to see if i can't get this price down to around $42,xxx using best mix of pricing and incentives on a 36 mo/12K lease.

We'll see...

From what I've seen, you can get Truecar pricing, or better without Truecar. Just shop around.

That's a similar deal I would like to score. Keep us posted!

That is not correct. The incentives are available on top of the circle price.

Very good article Thanks.

Hi Guys,

Any comment on this or any advise?

Thanks

Hi Guys,

Need some advise and insight on following deal I am being offered by a delar.

Genesis 3.8 AWD Ultimate package
MSRP: $52800

willing to give for $45000 + tax + fee.
down payment $5000
life time oil change.
but financing rate is 3.99% and for 60month and he gave me monthly payment of $833

I can refinance it after 3 month from my bank and there is no penalty for this.

I am in NJ so tax is about $3150 calculated based on 7%.
When I calculate how much fees I am paying based on my down payment and monthly payment of 833, total fees come to about $2000. Any idea on what fees they charge beside title, registration etc.
Is this a good deal???

Thanks a Lot

Hi guys,

If ya don't mind I'd like some help confirming my thoughts on the deal I've been offered. Looking at a:

15' Genesis-Tech package-3.8-AWD

Dealer offered the following for a 36m/15k lease:

$531/m
Discounted MSRP @ $47.5
3k down.

I'm kinda thinking we are pretty far off from where I'd like to be..ie a larger discount off MSRP and lower monthly payment.
What do you guys think? Any help would be much appreciated.

Price is too high - it is a $48.9 MSRP, also need lease money factor used. Usually want to avoid putting down much if any cash on a lease.

Yea, that's my thought as well. I asked for money factor but he's just kinda ignored that request. Nice guy though and I'd like to work out a deal with him.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm gonna talk to another dealer.

If you were buying a house and the mortgage bank did not answer you when asked what the interest rate was, odds are something is not good.

Yea, I agree. I'm trying to work with him a bit but he won't send me any numbers via email, only phone- And keeps skipping the mf issue.

Sounds like you should walk away. I've found the same things with some of the dealers in my area.

Perhaps this is a naive question, but aside from the difference in state taxes, why are some of these quotes so drastically different from one another? For instance, the quote above is for a 3.8 tech package, 36/15, for $531mo and $3k down. I have seen several others say they have gotten the same model for $395 - $425 per month with no money down. I know the average miles per year us usually 12k. Does the additional 3k miles per year on the quote above add that much cost? Or is that just an awful deal? I am looking to lease in a few months and I am trying to wrap my head around the large gap in prices I have seen. Thanks for any help!

Assuming good to excellent credit scores, the quote Tyler4 received was certainly not good. The fact that the dealer was not willing to communicate the money factor was already a clear warning sign. Besides, the discount off MSRP was also too low.

When it comes to $395 to low $400s/month for models with the tech package, I suggest to take these amounts with a grain of salt, particularly in states where the sales tax must be paid on the full purchase price. Sometimes the stars align perfectly for some very lucky buyers but more often than not, when someone scores a 20-25% discount off MSRP, there are unusual circumstances like employee/family discounts, (undisclosed) hail damage, cars with several hundred miles sold as new, or sales people posing in a forum as lucky buyers with the intent to attract prospective buyers to their dealership...
