Price Paid For 2015 Genesis

In Canada this one dealer selling a Demo 2015 Genesis 5.0 Ultimate AWD 800km on it, for 11K marked down. 86 months financing at 0%. You guys think its a good deal? How much low you think they can go? Since it is 2015 model, as soon as I buy I will lose value on this. So, i need to get every dollar out of the dealer to make this car worth it

I just picked up my first Genesis, a 15 3.8 awd ultimate. It was used with 21k miles, but I liked the price and color combo parisian gray/black. Got it for $32500.

I would strongly recommend against financing 86 months on a car that's already over a year and a half old. 7 years and some odd months from now you'll be finally paying off a 9 year old car. I can't imagine making payments on a car that's nearly a decade old. I'd keep it to 60 months or less but that's your call.

Having more specific numbers would help if you have them. But if you were to buy a 2015, the dealer would try to make you eat as much of the depreciation as possible which is what you, as a consumer, don't want to do.

Bottom line is - I wouldn't go for it unless the markdown was significantly bigger than what we're seeing on 2016s, and we're seeing markdowns of about $10-$12k USD on 2016 models right now. So I wouldn't even humor a 2015 unless it was knocked down $15k+ USD.

May I ask where you are seeing these? I see two dealerships in Michigan, but one of them explicitly state that only certain zip codes qualify. Outside of those two, I don't see anywhere with those types of discounts.

I.e. it doesn't help us out of State.

I would buy a 2016 if I could find 12k off on a Signature (I'm in Houston).

I failed to see a thread for 2016 prices.

Could you guys and girls give me a ballpark bottom line to shoot for when shopping for a:

2016 Genesis 3.8 RWD w/ Ultimate package. Color choice is one of the grays with ivory interior.

I'm in the mid-south USA but will fly to any reasonable dealer to pickup. 1/3 cash down and pre-approved credit for balance with excellent credit.

Look back a few pages. '15s are going for cheap. I got 15K off of my '15 5.0 with only 100 miles on it.

Not sure about the '16 discounts yet, but the '17's are in country so it should be too long before they show up at the dealers and the '16s will be discounted.

I'm in the market but the cheapest I see deals going for on an ultimate awd is $45k and that's dealing a ton.
2015s though i do see them googo for $15k off retail

The two I found where Suburban Hyundai of Troy and Glassman Automotive Group.

I saw one for 12k off, the others are 11k and change off.

They are both in Michigan, and I've heard that the dealers there will only sell in state.

As they only have the AWD and I'm looking for RWD, I didn't even bother with them.

But as you are looking at an AWD, may be worth the effort to try them out and see if they will work with you if you are out of state.

I am a new owner of a 2015 Genesis! I love the car! I can't believe how many people look at it and wonder if its some "special edition" of a high end luxury brand or give me mad compliments of how nice it looks both on exterior and especially interior. Its amazing! Here is what I picked up my car for at my local Hyundai Dealer in my area:

2015 Genesis V6/Ultimate package (Casablanca white)
4,559 miles

Purchase price - $35,977

$0 dealer added fees (they tried to tack on $2,500 of garbage)

I thought that was a pretty good deal seeing as how it was "barely" used with only 4,559 miles. I cant believe the previous owner only drove 4,559 miles and decided to dump it. Carfax shows a free and clear title with no wrecks or accidents.

I was thinking I would try to get the best price on a 2016 3.6 Signature but dealer has offered 2015 5.0 demo. Non-smoker manager has been driving. Still has that new car smell!

I would not believe the manager that he is driving it; it looks like a loaner car....and those may not have been treated well.
For comparison, with the significant discounts on 2015 Ultimates, new, they sold for $39K or so at MY end; but those are now history as the stock has dwindled.
IMHO, if the car is something that you are comfortable with, being a loaner or demo; then suggest you shoot for $35K and settle at $36-$37K; or ask them to throw in a extended Hyundai warranty at their price for say 8-10 yrs, zero deductible

If it looks, smells and drives new (and it should), then by all means pull the plug! Have them throw in the warranty as suggested and/or the V10 latest and greatest map version for the Nav, and buy it!! Think about it....where can you buy a new (almost) car with a V8 and all the goodies that come on the Ultimate? There selling loaded Tuscons for just a few grand less. HUD is freaking the bomb!! Buy the car!!

Am I understanding you right? You bought a used 2015 Genesis (non certified) and then took it to an actual Hyundai dealer and they gave you CPO for $98.00?? I didn't even know dealers did CPO on cars bought elsewhere.

I bought mine from a nonhyundai dealer, i would definately pay $98 to get it certified for the extra warranty!
