  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I like to know buying experience and price paid for those that have purchased or leased a new 2016 Genesis. This will help those of us in the market for a new car to get a better feel for what we should pay for the car particularly as the debut of the 2017 G80 draws closer and dealers are (hopefully) motivated to discount the 16's.

If you have purchased a new 2016 Genesis please post the price paid without tax so we can compare make sure you indicate MSRP for the car.

If you leased a 2016 Genesis please indicate MSRP and monthly payment excluding taxes and title charges

Working with a dealer right now to lease a base 3.8. Current offer is ~330/month after tax with no money down.

is this a good deal?

MF 0.00045
Residual 54% = $25,504
Drive offs $1300 (DMV, first pmt, acq fee, tax on rebates)
Monthly pmt $438 + $40 tax @ 9%

Tomorrow going to look at a used ( 10,000 mi ) 2016 3.8 AWD ultimate. Nothing around to compare it to, except a couple RWD 2015 ultimates with slightly higher milage ( 17k & 24k ). The 2015s have both been offered at approx $32k ( one a little under, the other a little over ) before any real negotiations have begun. The 2016 AWD is listed at $37,500. The website has a tab for getting a "big whoop" price. So I suspect they are willing to come down a bit. I'd prefer the 2016 over the others, but not sure it's $5k more car. What does the AWD option cost? What do you all think is a fair price?

Thanks

2016 blue RWD ultimate lease. 36/12k for 42xxx. zero down

just bought 16 genesis, rwd, empire state grey, 14k miles certified pre owned Monday night!!! clean carfax, it was base trim at 27.6k. Traded in my super old 2006 sonata and walked out the door at 28k.

Seriously it was a steal, especially when I see 2016 Honda accords on the lot going for 30k.

The dealer told me it was the lowest certified pre owned in the country and I would have to believe him because I've been on car gurus and cars.com for the past 5 months at 27 is about the lowest I've seen.

Base trim, I'm allowed to use android auto which is handy also, I don't have lane keep assist, or adaptive cruise control but I drive in the city/suburbs of chicago so I would never ever be using those features. The only feature the car does not have that I wish it did have is the electronic brake hold which could come in handy at some lights but it obviously wasn't a deal breaker. I got this car because it was a steal.
