Prices paid to lease 2015 Genesis?

I signed a lease at the end of August for a 2015 3.8 RWD with Ultimate package, 36 mo/10k per year. I only drive about 6k miles per year so 10k was the best deal. Residual was 59%. First oil change included, trunk badge replaced with winged badge at no additional cost.

MSRP: $50,300
Selling price: $47,170 (includes acquisition fee)
Adj cap cost: $40,633
Down payment: $2000 (title/registration, tax on cap cost reduction, first payment, DMV e-filing fees, and $80 doc fee)
Money factor: 0.00022 (I believe you need a fico of 750+ to get this)
Monthly: $348

What really helped to lower my payment was the $500 coupons. They applied 5 of them and discounted the price by another $2500. This was on top of the lease cash $1500 and conquest cash $1500.

That's an awesome deal cv777! Are you on the east coast? Could you PM the dealers name?

Did you ask them about the coupons upfront?

I'm in Southern California. I think all the stars aligned and it was the end of the month so I got lucky. I mentioned to all the dealerships that I knew about the coupons and only one actually offered to give them to me! I don't get why they are reluctant to use them. My understanding is they expire at the end of the month. So if you're ready to make a deal and it's end of the month, they might just give you 5 if they have that many left over. Finance manager stated that they're only allowed to use 5 on one deal. Not sure how true that is. I also had a $500 boost up match but I think they cheated me out of that lol but I don't care I feel I got a really good deal.

What is your city name? if possible can you share the offer doc(you can mask your name:D). ? Tried today in Socal but the dealer said the price is not TRUE and best they can do is just 399+Tax with 2000 down.

My current offer is:

2015 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 AWD Ultimate
- $3,300 down (1st payment, taxes, fees, etc.)
- $467 / month @ 36 mos.
- 12k miles / yr

To me, it doesn't seem rock-bottom compared to other deal numbers in this forum, but it may be the best I can do in upstate NY. Thoughts?

Look at cv777 deal, lower than yours (although it's RWD).

Seems like the west coast deals are a bit better than the east coast... Wonder why. Demand?

These are great deals, but for some reason these type of deals allude lol 😔

The first strategy in negotiating is to not believe everything the dealer tells you. I have absolutely nothing to gain to make up the deal I got. Essentially I got the Truecar price with $3500 incentives (lease cash, conquest cash and boost up) and $2500 in coupons. Like I said, perhaps it was just the timing and I got lucky. First dealer quoted $700+ per month. Needles to say I walked. I have a post with pictures of my car, I got it from Keyes in Van Nuys. Incidentally, Keyes in Van Nuys was also the best deal I could get on my 2013 GS 350 F-Sport.

Is the mf still 0.00022? I have 750+ credit and I was quoted for 0.00051

I believe so. Those numbers are from like 2 months ago, and unless they release new numbers I would assume they still stand.

Comparing a quote on an AWD with 12k miles is not entirely accurate. Mine is RWD and I elected to go with 10k miles per year as I don't drive enough to justify 12k miles per year. The difference is a 1% bump in residual for the 10k miles per year lease. At 0.00051 I think the dealer is marking up the money factor, which they are allowed to do, but you should tell them that you are only prepared to make a deal based on the base money factor of 0.00022. If they say no, call some other dealers. Having read leasing forums for several years now, it seems like Southern California is usually where the good deals are at. There are between 10-15 Hyundai dealerships not too far from where I live. This is good for the consumer!

Dealership is offering a Lease Wear Package at $700 that covers upholstery rips, stains, tires, etc. I'm a pretty light driver and I don't expect my 3 year-old will be in this car very much. Should I buy this protection?

No.

That is great info cv777 thank you, also I heard a rumor that Cali dealer can't lease cars to out of state buyers, is that true?

SOOOOO I finally pulled the trigger, went to the only dealership left in the city that I haven't spoken to and got an Ibiza Blue/Ivory interior 3.8 AWD Ultimate for 479/month with 12k/year 36 months. Gave them 1000 down, and they paid first month for me with an MF 0.00036. Not the greatest deal, but best I could do around here without going out of state.

Congrats, great color combo. Don't look back on the deal - enjoy!

Same car and deal except the dealer wants $3,300 down. It's the best deal I've found in NY. Where did you get yours from?

Las Vegas , they have 2016 coming in soon

I'm looking to lease a 5.0 (probably Ultimate) since they're not much more than the 3.8s in price and I read in this forum that the 5.0s aren't selling that well. cv777's deal is outstanding, ~$10k off in total. Is replicating that for a 5.0 a reasonable goal? It's still up in the air whether the 2015s will get Carplay but that's hardly worth losing a big discount on a 2015. Plus a 3 year lease gets me to 2018 when the new engines come out (though I might not want to switch from a sweet v8!).

Good afternoon. New member & currently in market to lease a 2015 Genesis AWD Signature. I'm hoping to score a deal factoring in that I have some negative equity to roll into lease.

I was shooting to get as close to invoice pricing (42568 w/ 950 destination included). From that I was looking to deduct the 1500 Lease Conquest Coupon (https://www.hyundaiusa.com/financial-tools/special-offers.aspx) and then wrangle up to five 500 Dealer Coupons for a final Cap Cost of 38568.00. Best I can do is 39550. That's 6K off MSRP but I also know they've got 2-3% hold back on this car. Any thoughts? More room to negotiate?

Additionally I have a 2012 Volvo S60 to trade. I'm under water on it due to negative equity from a previously owned vehicle. Best trade number I'm getting is 15,000 which means I need to roll 5400 into Cap Cost or total of 44,950.

Looking to do a 36 month, 15K per year lease. Dealer is telling me residual is 55%. Is that true? Also a MF rate of around .83% or .00035. Seems I've seen higher residuals and less MFs. I'm in MA so Sales Tax is 6.25%. I refuse to put any money down (cap reduction). They're quoting 616.16, tax in. MSRP is 45,450.00.

Kills me knowing that a LOT of people are leasing this vehicle in the low 400's but I have that negative equity. I still think there's more room on Cap Cost.

Would appreciate any feedback or words of advice. Looking to pull trigger by end of month but also looking at other vehicles.
