If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Prices paid to lease 2015 Genesis?

Good afternoon. New member & currently in market to lease a 2015 Genesis AWD Signature. I'm hoping to score a deal factoring in that I have some negative equity to roll into lease.

That negative equity intertwined will make things trickier as you attempt to carve out a good deal. I would not start near invoice, but at or below. Check TrueCar to see what others ion your area may be paying. From there, deduct any current promos you are eligible for. As far as the dealer coupons, that will be a blind fight, as you don't really know what they have to offer. Good luck.

Hey all,

Just joined the Genny club yesterday, and I wanted to share the lease deal I obtained.

First, Thank you to all the knowledgeable posters and inquisitive members as I have been spending the last 2 months lurking and learning. Special mention to
ep010835 who I feel did an awesome job of outlining the negotiating steps, which I followed as closely as possible.

So my deal: 2015 V6 AWD Signature with 12K/yr. = $379/mo. including all taxes, fees, etc. Down payment was my BoostUp account, so $500x2 which also covered the first month.

I emailed 6 different dealers, some refused to provide internet quotes, others simply did not have the configuration I wanted. Luckily a large volume dealer had my desired combo and they were receptive to dealing over email first, then phone. When I walked in the door for the first time, I already knew what I was going to pay and I drove out in less than 2 hours. The only change was me requesting 12K instead of 10K once I saw it in person!

Lease cash+Competitive owner(BMW)+2xGenesis $500 coupons plus dealer discount brought me around $8K in savings off the $46K MSRP. MF was .00036, Res was 58%.

So far I am in love with the car, wow. Such a presence and head turner! I went w Montecito Blue/Beige BTW.

That's all for now, looking forward to Driving it to work again tomorrow! http://genesisowners.com/hyundai-genesis-forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

That's an awesome deal! Exactly the price I'm looking for.

Which BMW did you have before and how does the genny compare?

Are you on the east coast? Mind PMing me the dealer info?

Thanks!

I just traded a 13 Gen 3.8 premium with 2k miles on a 15 Gen 3.8 signature with all add on stickered at 44k I was happy with a buy deal of the car at 18k plus my car out the door ...my car trade value @20k ...the Fand I guy said i was crazy to buy and let him show me some figures ...He came back with 5k down 399 per month incl tax for 36 mo and 10k miles with 400 for disposal at lease end ....but this includes zero deductible coverage for every thing all dings repaired wheels& tire wear or damage ...interior damage detailing every 6 mos ....all maintenance oil align etc and replacement parts battery wipers pads etc. & free loaner and they send me a check for 15 k for ...the balance of my trade equity .....so the lease total with disposal is a total of 19365$ with no out of pocket for maintenance or repairs unless i have a major accident needing body work. I thought i made a huge mistake as i have never leased ....but i was sold on the F&I guy saying no matter what happens you are covered and just walk away at the end of the lease ...This lease also included 6250$ of rebates applied to the downpay ...did i get a fair deal all things considered? thanks Tom also the buy option /residual value is 24200$ which i will not be doing

Am I reading it right that you put $5K down on your lease?!?

the best deals were back in august. you guys are not geting good deals

Broadly stating that no one is getting good deals because it's not August is absolutely not correct.

MF has stayed consistently the same since then and RV has dropped by only 1% in most cases. Meanwhile the lease cash incentive available to dealers has risen from $1,500 to $2,750 which is a huge deal. There are also just as many as other incentives (Loyalty, Competitive, Military, etc...) available now on '15s as there were back then.

You can get just as good of a deal on a new 2015 Genesis right now as you ever have been able to. Whether you can negotiate that good of a deal is up to each persons ability. The savings/incentives are absolutely there for the taking though.

That is one convoluted deal. Big money down on the lease is usually a big no no and some of those things "thrown in" may have already been there. Very hard to tell what kind of a deal it was - if you are happy however, then that's all that should matter.

Since my 13 gen was paid for ...it seemed like a reasonable deal ...rather than stroke a check for 18k out the door to buy the 15 gen....they took 5k of my trade in value and i pay 399 for 35 more mo and 400 disposal fee ...with no concern for damage wear and tear or maintenance and they send me 15k $ ( the bal of my trade in equity)...if i owned the car and it were to have an accident the trade in value could be reduced a lot ...this was my 3rd genesis from same dealer .....but 1st lease ...trying to be happy with the deal just hope i did not get screwed badly .. thanks T

Hi,

I need advice from the community. Thinking of taking over a lease from someone else. Here are the details.

2015 Hyundai Genesis 3.8
Signature package+ tech package+ultimate package
5000 miles
Monthly payment: $410

Remaining Lease term on 3 year: 28 months
Ends April 2018

I would pay for the monthly.
What do you think? Is this a good deal?

Any advice would be appreciated.
