  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I bought this car a week and a half ago.. 2010 4.6 tech it comes with mood lighting which i dont understand why hyundai hasn't put this on any other cars.

Thanks for video. A few questions:

1. What happens if you press the mood lighting button on the overhead? Does the blue lighting go off?

2. Is this not a feature on older Genesis sedans ? Is this new?

So, if I understand this correctly.

If the MOOD lighting button is depressed, the mood lighting will stay on just like the foot-well lights do... I think the foot-well lights stay lit until you start driving? Or when the car is put into drive?

If the button is not depressed, then no mood lighting at all?

Interesting; my 2010 Tech (built 2-8-2010) doesn't have that. That button says "Door" in my car

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
You can turn it on or off.. if you have it on.. when you turn the car off the mood lighting will come off 2 and its separate from the regular lights.

And I think all the new built ones are coming with it because I bought mine in the US of course

I test drove a 4.6 with tech package this past weekend and there was no mood button and the salesperson had no idea what i was talking about when i questioned him.

Has anyone determined if all the new Genesis are going to come through in the US with the blue mood light feature?

I confirmed that all KDM versions come with this "mood" lighting OHC.
One member from California purchased one during his visit to Korea and installed it on his 4.6 tech.
Also informed me that it was a direct plug-and-play, no modification needed.
I'm gonna see if I can get someone from Korea to buy one for me and ship it here.

Interesting... Keep us posted.

Unfortunately, I don't think there'll be an easy way to acquire this part without actually going to Korea.
I couldn't find any source that sells this OHC. :(
