  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Rate your overall dealer experience from 1-10 maybe this will get attention

Would be an 8, but one of the service managers where I go has a "tude."

Ourisman Hyundai
Laurel, MD

Unfancy dealership with good sales and service department (no latte's or granite countertops)

Five Star Hyundai, Macon Georgia. 9 very good not a 10 though. My Acura dealer in Athens GA is a 10. My BMW dealer, Athens BMW is maybe an 8.

Town and Country Hyundai, Milwaukie OR - 8 - not fancy but great service, and they even have satellite TV

Key Hyundai--Milford CT---9---very good service dept/advisers---great service entrance--pull up to a garage door which opens and you drive up to the advisers desk---two techs do a walk around checking lights, wipers and all fluids---waiting area is nice with coffee and danish,tv,computer and wireless access. I did not purchase my current Genesis from them but they added me to their drive worry free program without charging me (free battery, tires and engine replacement for as long as I own the car). Very pleased and their service prices are reasonable

10 until the sales manger left. Then went to a 4 when I went back to get my wife a 11 Sonata.

I will go to Winner Hyundai in Dover DE since thats where he went.

Meant well and were nice, but didn't always follow through like one would expect. This casted doubts on other areas of competence behind-the-scenes (rightly or wrongly).

Friendly, knowledgeable and hard working managers and technicians. This is a no-frills establishment (the service dept is in a separate building from the sales floor & dept; it features 2 chairs, a few magazines... some pamphlets...). It's obvious that their #1 priority is keeping your car in tip-top shape. Free shuttle anywhere, or, a free 1- or 2-day car rental if your vehicle is in the shop for more than a half day.

Having owned a BMW & Lexus the luxury aspect leaves a little to be desired but overall Sales, Service, Satisfaction from this dealer experience has been pleasant. Confidently recommend.

I'd give Hyundai of Valdosta an 8. Despite being a new dealership and new facility, it's no frills. I don't have any problems getting an appointment and I always get a loaner (usually a Sonata). But if I compare it to the experiences you get at an Acura dealership, I can't give it a 10. Acura dealerships know how to pamper their customers. Now if their designers could do something with how their cars look.

Burns Hyundai, Marlton, NJ 10 across the board

Orlando Hyundai, Orlando Florida.

10 for Service Department

10 for Parts Department

6 for Sales Department, however this is still better than most Sales Departments I've delt with over the past few years. Would have been an 8 or 9 if it were not for a pushy F&I Guy who wants to sell you all the "extras" that you don't want and don't need and don't want to take "No" for an answer. (I hate F&I Guys!!!!!)

I love my Genesis, but poor service - the number one reason I won't buy another Hyundai.

Its a shame Hyundai spent hundreds of millions of dollars to get people like me into a Hyundai only to have all that effort pissed away by the local service department.

Since there is so much variability among dealers, why not find a better dealership? There are plenty of good ones out there.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Without a doubt a 10. My last two services at 15K and 20K were FREE like in NADA, ZIP,Zilch. Dealer is always pleasant and Salesperson and MGR greet me by name, even after 1 1/2 years after buying vehicle. They wash car every time before giving it back to me.

The purpose of this thread is to force the lessor ones to step up their game or get out of the game, I promise Hyundai will take note eventually if we are willing to expose them rather then just complain!

For my past couple trips to resolve minor problems with my Genesis the shop foreman has this rude and unwilling to listen to the customer. I had asked him to road test with me to resolve a noise but he test drove it himself and said " i don't hear anything." I've been looking at the other Hyundai dealers in the Bayarea and most of them have a poor rating on Yelp.com. Hyundai needs to improve their customer service if they want to sell the Genesis or the Equus.

This is true, but who wants to drive 2 hours to get the car to a service department? Support is just as important as a quality product - without it, that quality product loses its luster. That said, as long as my Genesis keeps going as well as it has so far, I won't need the service department and won't have to deal with the issue, but if faced with buying a car that is not backed up by quality service or a competitor that is, I'm going with better service.

Keyes Hyundai in Van Nuys, CA

3 - they charge $50 for an oil change (too much for me)

Dealer service in Miami, FL area:

Potamkin Hyundai, Miami Lakes, FL: NG- Lacadaisical attitude, weak technical skills. Dealership concentrates on sales, not service. Not up to snuff for a higher-end car,

Lehman Hundai, Miami Lakes, FL: Service manager outstanding, techs know their business. Excellent service.
