  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Saw the 2015 Genesis in person, no camo

To the OP, or anyone else who has seen the 2015 Genesis undisguised, I must ask: does the new Genesis have any kind of badge on the front, whether it be the winged Genesis emblem, or even the Hyundai emblem?

That's something I never liked about the current car; the lack of an emblem on the front fascia. It always made me think of the car as some generic mock-up a graphic design artist would conjure up for a Mercedes brochure. Good thing many of the owners, and dealers, around here are prone to putting the Genesis emblems on the front of their cars.

No front badging is part of what i really like. Nice clean look, I know what car is and surely dont need to advertise no matter what I am driving and I am quite comfortable saying I drive a Genesis.

touch screen systems are just awful. Not only do you have to clean the damn screen all the time but it is much more difficult to enter things on the fly without having to lean up a bit to reach it or pull over. Maybe its me but being 6'4" is an issue for touch screens. My wife has one in her 2012 azera and i don't like anything about it when it comes to operating. Keep the dial based nav system hyundai but i do hope the voice command has is vastly improved for wide command recognition.

+1 ^5

Radio controls on the steering wheel only change to the presets not scan or next station up or down the dial and there aren enough presets on my 2010. Fluid voice command would change everything.

As far as the new sedan I hope more images come soon. I was actually hoping for a bit more drastic styling changes but to early to really say.

I have 18 XM presets, 12 FM presets (you get the picture) to zip through with my steering wheel control. I really don't need "no mo." If I need to scan stations, I just press one button. If I need to change the dial, up or down, I turn the old-fashioned station selector dial. Some old tools just can't be improved upon.

Question to the OP and the few that saw the Genny "in person"... Did the photos posted here (briefly, and still available out on the internet) match what you saw in person?

The most recent spy photos and renderings looked spot on to the car that I saw. The Navi system is the same setup as the 2013 Genesis that I own, but the UI looks a little different. It seemed cleaner and seemed to have better response.

Any badges on the car were covered up, but they did show us sample Genesis badges to see which ones tested best. There was a flying H with wings on it.

I'm guessing the 2015 logo/wings may be a source of consternation for us.
