  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I like most of it. All the lighting features look very cool, but I'm still not a big fan of the large side badges in the daylight, nor the round sheriff badges on the back. Otherwise, very nice.

Overall the car looks great! I love the grill (though I too would be worried about the sensor functioning), I like the side moldings, the wheels are decent. The headlights look awesome, but do yours flicker amber when they're in DRL mode? Mine do and it annoys me beyond belief. I'd probably pass on the chrome doorframe molding, the sheriff badges in the back (both are "meh"), but the biggest thing I'd change is the side wings. I like the concept, but as implemented they're way too big. If they were about two inches wide (as opposed to 7? 8?) I think they'd be perfect.

Also, you're a Cubs AND a Sox fan? I don't think there are too many people who can say that :D

Just sharing pics of my ride from Down Under ;-)

Hello, if you don't mind, how did you get the DRL strip to be on for daytime running lights and also function as the blinker? Please let me know, I am very interested in doing this as well. Also what did you use to get rid of the amber DRL. Thanks it looks awesome!

lights are cool but the whole car got ruined with the tacky grille and overuse of badges and moldings.

lotta 2015 genesis sedan owners seem to like to take it to the tacky side of things.

New mesh front grill.
Hi mrdunnehy, did you get the Chrome plated T-Rex grille or the Stainless Steel one? I bought the black powder coated one.

It looks as if you didn't black out the chrome highlights of the grille. If you didn't, it kind of pulls attention away from your mesh overlay. I blacked out mine with vinyl wrap. It's cheap and you can peel it off if you want to go back to the original look. That is just my experience, not meant to be a criticism.

As far as the other "critics", it looks great. There is room for all kinds of cars. If you love your car enough to make it yours then that is cool.

pleeeeese leave the original grille alone! although it's audi-esque, the original designer did a great job with the overall design. don't cheese it up with degradimg grilles.

Here is my 3.8 genesis.
New mesh front grill, New dual HID headlights, New fog Lights, License plate bracket lowered below grill, Dual LED illuminated wing emblem on front, back and sides. Side emblems show white "genesis" when headlights are on and back of emblem flashes amber when using turn signal or hazards. Front emblems has white LED showing genesis and white behind emblem. Side has New pillar post and New body side molding with chrome insert with "genesis" engrave on molding. Door sill custom made with white LED light illuminating "genesis". Tried to upload video but would not allow me to do i don't know that much about computers.

Wow you really went whole hog on the LEDs! I think I read all of your posts and still have a couple of questions. How much did you spend on all of these LED emblems and new headlights, including installation? Or did you install them yourself? I am assuming you had to drill through the body panels and run custom wiring for each, correct? Maybe they will incorporate some of your ideas when the Vision G becomes a reality...
