  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Those are 20" TSW Amaroo wheels (no longer made). As good as they looked though, if they were available new, I would definitely have some disclaimers for others about purchasing them. They were noticably noisier than the stock rims.
They look good , however I would not want to sacrifice noise or ride quality for looks. But They look nice and would consider them if I did not road trip as much as I do. The shortest drives I do are 250 miles
Looks great! I love the headlights with no amber on the side. How are they compare to the stock US headlights?
I like that look as well. I will do the headlight up date when my 5 year 60,000 mile expires. They do look so nice. How do you like your new ride kocyk123?

The other thing is that your car (and my old car) weighs roughly 4600 pounds. It's built like a tank. But that puts a lot of pressure on tires/wheels. Even with the stock 19" wheels, I blew out two tires (and bent the stock rims!) on a pothole on I-40 west of Memphis. Then 4 years later I blew out two more tires on the 20" TSW Amaroos (bending those wheels as well). That is why I've generally advised caution when it comes to aftermarket wheels (and for different reasons, lowering springs, which I also had on the car in that photo).

Between the wheels and tires, I spent more money than I care to admit on:
1. Wheel-alignments (lowering springs, and Genesis models generally being overly sensitive to that)
2. Tires, both due to #1, and the blowouts mentioned above.

I couldn't agree more... The weight of the car introduces problems that you wouldn't ordinarily have with a lighter vehicle.👍

Thank you! Those were the KDM headlights and in standard-beam setting, they were slightly better than the stock US headlights, but they were appreciably better in high-beam. Unfortunately, back then I never did get the wiring quite right. Despite them being KDM headlights, inexplicably the BCM (body-control-module) differs between the US model and the KDM. Practically that meant when I had them installed I had to have an auxiliary wire installed to power the high-beam. Additionally (grrr) the daytime driving lights, while not amber (the primary reason I bought these lights to begin with), would still blink, and I didn't know enough about auto-electronics to fix it (nor could I find any automotive electric shops who wanted to tackle it). Keep in mind this was 2016 (the car was a 2015, but I put those lights on in 2016), before they switched to LED lighting, and before some others on the forum learned more about the lighting system. Finally, although I never had a problem with inspection, I don't know that the clear side markers are technically legal in all states.
That makes sense. I was looking to get them too at some point but decided that I am not going to spend so much money for something that no one will notice but me... :) I love the look of two projectors in one headlights instead of stock projector and reflector. Do you have any front shots?

I agree, the noise and ride quality is number one for me too. As far as my new ride goes, I am enjoying every bit of it. Not sure if my wife likes it as much as I do though. She cried when I got rid of our Genny. We will probably get another Genesis in 3-4 years :)

Good luck with it. It's good to see you still on the forum. You bring a wealth of good upgrades and procedures to the forum.

Thank you!

She Looks Good! What color interior do you have?

Thanks
It has the Ivory with black piping! Thought I wasn’t going to like it because I wanted black...but I was wrong! I love it! Love the way all the led interior lights light it up at night! I know it’s going to work keeping it clean but worth it...just like the black exterior...pain to keep clean but worth it as well!

Thanks

Good for you man! I too have the white interior. 15 5.0 Ultimate and just love the car. Best car I ever did own. Welcome to the forum , you will find friendly, knowledgeable, folks on this forum.

5.0 That’s the car I wanted...and found 1 online...but black on black! But the AWD makes more sense (unfortunately)! I live in New England so RWD V8 not the best choice for a daily driver!

I totally understand. I park mine for the winter. They use too much salt in SD to drive a nice car in the winter.

My 5.0 at Jamaica Beach / Galveston a couple of weeks ago - she enjoyed stretching her legs!
