  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Re: 2015 Genesis Pictures

Very nice!!!!

Are all the satin part vinyl-ed black?? Or is that Plastidipped??

Also do you have a shot of the front grill/end only.

thanks!!

Yup, all the satin metal was vinyl-ed. Nothing has been dipped.

Looking to get some proper shots this weekend if the weather co-operates.

Lots of nice looking cars here, even the couple of coupes that slipped in. I especially like the wheels on jonjon72's car. I think the concave wheels complement the shape of the car very well.

I washed my car today and thought it looked go so I decided to take a couple of pictures.

I think it would be more polite to say: "I don't care for it." ;)
It's all a matter of personal taste.

Surprised that's the response from someone in their 50's but then again, it was never meant to impress anyone that age! ;)

Looks great!

Jonjon I gotta hand it to you: that's quite a risk you took. I think it mostly pays off, though personally I prefer the stock white (obviously!! I own one, and your original photos were some of the more convincing ones I saw which made me want a white one myself). If I were to do something like that, I think I'd get a completely crazy color like purple (which also happens to be my wife's favorite color).

It's all a matter of personal taste.

I think if it was popularly liked, the manufacturers would offer it. They don't because it's not!! What can I say, someone did it to be striking and like anything that "jumps out at you" you are going to have varying opinions. Some wildly varying and mine is that it's simply butt ugly.

The range of colours offered along with wheels are very carefully researched by manufacturers. The idea being to provide options for various tastes. In this regard, the Genesis has various colours that are designed to meet the needs that the research findings came up with. Like or not any of the colours on offer, none of them are grossly unattractive. They're all nice but it boils down to YOUR personal preferences. This therefore concludes; the researchers and the manufacturers did a good job. This silly blue Matt finish with black wheels is wide outside of the safety spectrum. So just as you did it to meet a wild taste that you and some others may like, there are some that may find it unattractive. Chances are, more people will find it unattractive than those that like it. I happen to find it grossly ugly and vulgar. Simply disgusting. And I have the right in this forum to say so just as you have the right to display it and love it. Sorry I can't say "don't take it personally" but you can't because on a car, colours are entirely personal!

It looks like a plastic injection molded Tonka toy. Exactly which age group was it supposed to impress?

I'm loving the look of the fogs!!!

Blue Steel Brushed Aluminum vinyl wrap & my summer set up of Vossen VFS2's and Michelin Pilot AS/3's. Hope to get non cell phone pics taken in the next couple of weeks.

Your car looks awesome! Ballsy but it worked!

Have been enjoying the Genesis immensely - all in all a great vehicle. I also like the look with the fogs. :D
