  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Also, while I won't link to it... there are ways to make it where the NAV system's DVD player, will work while driving... I'm not saying I've done that, but I'm not saying it's not possible either. :-)

Maybe private message me a link then? Please! There are quite a few of us who have talked/wondered about that and looking for a solution.

Can you pm me the link? :-)

Storm Springs will arrive this Tues, and Wheels / Tires on Wed.. so hopefully I can get scheduled somewhere end of this week and sport them.
Decided to go with 20" TSW bathurst silver/machined face w/295 rears and 255 fronts

Make sure you post pics afterwards. I want to see what your wheel gaps look like with the storm springs, especially since you're gonna be on the exact same wheels. I may have to switch springs if they end up making the wheels flush with the fender. I really hate my 2 finger gaps lol.

I did it myself and it took two solid days of work - granted I had nothing to go off of so some of it was trying to figure out what the correct process was. in hindsight I should have just obtained copies of the tech manual from my local dealer.

I think $350 with an alignment is fair if you don't want to mess with it yourself.
They will need to be careful in the rear with the motor for the automatic headlight adjustment and will need to drop the RSB.

thread started for those that have modified their cars - please chime in as this could be a nice resource for new members that want to see what these cars look like modified.

You mean remove the rear sway bar all together? or lower its position?

Finally done.. I will post some good photos on Saturday when I have some time and after I wash the car. Too much rain down here in FL.

Special thanks to:
  • Huddleston for informing of the Storm springs and build thread
  • Royal, for letting me highjack his pics for photo-chopping and visualizing the bathursts.
  • Best Wheel Deals in hialeah gardens for the wheels, tires and offset expertise.
  • Kevin at KDMholic for fast service.
  • Mr. Goma Tires for spring installation ($350 with alinement )

I do want to say that while the set up is 97% to what I expected and photoshopped in terms of lowered height, I have to say that on depressed waves in the roads and some driveway inclines, the REAR tires rub a tad. Its too early to say if it bothers me or not, but I will keep you guys posted after a couple of weeks of driving. But I can say that it rides like stock, no funny noises, and doesn't feel lower when driving which is good.

Here are some teaser pics: These are 20" TSW Bathurst (Front: 20 x 9 x ET30 255 30 ZR20 | Rear: 20 x 10 x ET40 295 35 ZR20)

Looks great man. Great job on choosing those wheels. Be sure to add this to the modified Genesis thread too

Welcome to the club! Post pictures up in the modified Genesis thread. Put up ground level 3/4 views as well as ground level side views. Since you're on the exact same wheels I want to see how much gap you have between fender and tire. It may be my deciding factor in switching my springs out to the Storms.

Looks great! Good choice on wheels ;)

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's a...mazing! Dude, your car looks great! That drop and stance is perfect. I just showed my wife these pictures and told her about the Storm springs and how I might switch and she vetoed it until after Christmas. It's gonna be a long December.

Good job on the car! She's beautiful.

Looks awesome. Did you actually remove your rear badge and fill the holes or is that Photoshopped?
