  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

faaiz, looking good! BTW did you ever check out "The Martian" to see the Yennefer look-alike?

Unfortunaltely I never got around to watching the Martian. I'll have to wait for the torrent to watch it. But I will definitely get back to you once I find the Yennefer look alike!

Oh and I haven't played HoS yet. Waiting for the christmas holidays. I've got work all morning and masters classes in the evening. I have been following the posts on the reddit page dedicated to witcher 3 though.

I just started playing witcher 3 myself a few days ago. Feels like it's gonna be a looooong game

Well if you don't mind a suggestion from someone who's completed the game, the game will be a lot more enjoyable if you look at it a little differently. It's definitely a long game, but try to enjoy the journey, and let the end-game take care of itself when the time comes. I'm typically a "check this box/task off, move to the next one" kind of player. The Witcher does not reward that, nor does it make that play-style easy. Quests can have many, many, many steps. I didn't like it at first because I like to complete a quest and then move on to the next, but I came to appreciate it after a while. Also the variety of quests is unlike any other game. Not only do you have the "go kill Monster 'A' because it's terrorizing our village" quests, but you will also likely do things like herd sheep, learn a little acting, and help out an organized-crime figurehead (or, not, as the case may be). And they do a good job of making you make tough choices. It's probably one of the best games I've ever played.

Oh don't get me wrong. I'm loving this game so far. Haven't leveled up much yet but I'm also still in White Orchard and doing the different quests in there. I love the open world and how it doesn't feel like it's on rails.

Storm springs Update:

After full settling of the springs (Im assuming not much to settle) Some issues arose:

4 Wheels rub on the fender well in depressions in the road (waves / dimples , not speed bumps)

When turning right into a semi steep driveway, the front passenger wheel rubs against the metal fender edge - not good. I posted some pics below to depict.
I managed to pound the metal flaring out back in with my wrist, but fender rolling is a must with this set up.

I made an appointment at this place down here that specializes in fender rolling and heating up the inner fender wells to stretch it so the tires wont rub.

Again, Im running 20 x 9 front and 20 x 10 rears with P295 Rears, and P255 Fronts / Staggered setup.

I'll keep you guys posted after the fender rolling.

looks great - what tires are you running? I have a similar set up do not rub as you describe. I know different manufacturers may have the same tire sidewall size but the actual dimension might vary slightly. Please post this in the modified Genesis thread as well if you haven't already.

Thanks guys, heres some more pics... still not washed up but here you go

Holy crap that is a beautiful ride, straight jaw droping. I been stalking your guys forum for about 2 months now and I finally put money down on a 2nd Gen v8 so I can pick it up day after Christmas...heck of a stocking stuffer lol. Anyways while I'm waiting to come back off the road(truck driver) I was wondering if anyone tried lowering your gen2 with storm springs and keeping the 19 inch wheels stock.

unfortunately when I lowered mine I put the wheels on first so I don't have any shots of the OEM wheels after the drop.

I need to give a shout out to you since your car on Evan shanks youtube vid made me decide to get a genny. Second did you just paint the replaced panels or did it come color matched? Was also thinking of removing all badges did you notice color/texture difference after filling and painting holes?

Lol thanks. The white gt500 Evan reviewed and TJ hunt drove is mine as well. The holes were filled and panels repainted by a very good painter. Not sure who you trust locally but I'd be picky with who I let do that work

I was going to get gt350 but decided to get gen instead. I did see the white 500, I bet insurance is through the roof. I'm going to refer to you as Picasso from now on, very nice job if indeed you did paint the panel too. Probably should ask this in the modified thread but what did you use to fill the holes?

pano roof comes black so no painting there. I'm 30 and married so insurance on the cars isn't so bad - especially when you get a discount for having a small fleet. Lead was used to fill the holes. You can see pictures of the whole process in the build thread listed in my signature below.

No I thought you filled/painted the holes yourself, I thought you was being ironic by calling yourself a very good painter. I know the pano roof is black, just wanted to clarify so I don't come off as a COMPLETE moron. I did check your build thread out.I will ask questions on it, thanks.

Just picked up my European Genesis. If they made this exact version with all the features this one has I would be all over it in the US.

Congrats.
It would be nice if the Ultimate version in the U.S. actually came with every option.

I grew up driving a sonata as a kid & loved it. Drove it until it quit right at about 220K miles. I don't think it's fair that in the US some of the features are *Equus* exclusive (rear seats & surround view). Kinda stupid really.
