If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Share Photos of Your 2015 Genesis Here.

I grew up driving a sonata as a kid & loved it. Drove it until it quit right at about 220K miles. I don't think it's fair that in the US some of the features are *Equus* exclusive (rear seats & surround view). Kinda stupid really.

Correct me if im wrong but I believe that they don't have the Equus in europe. So the flagship in europe's market is the genesis so it makes sense. Plus like hyundai always says they keep costs down by not having many options, why do you think there is a 10 year 100,000 mile warrenty only in the states and cheaper then other markets around the world? hyundai left a bad taste in Americans mouth for a long time, I can tell when I tell someone I got a genesis they look at me as if I was a pedophile lol.

None the less that is totally badass you getting 2 thumbs up for that one.

That's one hell of an impressive list of cars you own, if true. It would be awesome if you could share any pics you have of those as well!!

Quite a testament to our car if a guy like you who has those vehicles, says that he loves the 2G Genesis. It just goes to show that the crazies around these parts who say that the 1G Genesis is "better" are truly indeed out of their minds. Anyway, I digress.

It's true that they don't have the Equus over here. I just wish that they offered it just like they do here in the US. The overall design of the Equus has never appealed to me, but the 2G Genesis hits all the marks in my opinion (well the European version does). I've always enjoyed Hyundai, had a brief recess from them, but glad to say I'm back! My next thing is to mod it a bit (tinted windows, passport, rear emblem, etc...). Been browsing the forum for a year now in wait of this. If this version of the Genesis were to be sold in the US I don't think anyone would buy the Equus.

I'd love to post some pics that I have if I knew where to post them. While I do like Mercedes & other "luxury" brands, I still love other brands. I enjoy driven, doesn't matter what car. The P1 & 918 I don't drive much because I see them more as an investment & really just kinda a cool factor that I take out on the track once or twice a month. Honestly one of the best track cars that I've driven isn't any luxury car, it's a Ford Focus ST. It's a blast to drive & well does pretty well (when I say best I don't mean performance etc... I just mean all around).

One tidbit I might add, the 1G Genesis in my mind just didn't cut it at all. It wasn't that pretty & the interior was a bit questionable in my mind. I test drove the R-Spec when it first came out in mind of replacing my old S-Class but it just didn't feel right. So I traded up to the previous gen S-Class. I did the same last year when I went shopping for a new daily driver, but the genesis still didn't have all the features that I wanted, so I stuck with the S-Class. Now, as I've said before if the Genesis offered in Europe was offered in the US that would be my daily driver (SOOOO much cheaper). My wife just walked in from driving it & she said that if the Genesis brand planned crossover or SUV was like this she'd be willing open to driving this.

I posted a youtube link* to the new G90 Equus on the forum like 2 days. Check it out it looks just like the 2nd Gen in the front. Also congrats on your purchase she is lovely.

Thanks for the tips. I apologize in advance for the crappy editing & watermark. Did it all in preview. About half of them are dealer shots, another fourth are professional photographer shots, & the last ugly fourth are made by yours truly. To recoupe some of the cost of the cars & let them get out more than I can make possible I rent them out to companies, productions crews etc...

All the pics look fine to me!! Thanks for sharing.

If you don't mind me asking and I'm obviously not looking for anything too specific, but....what line of work are you in that allows you to have those beautiful cars as well as the "company car" being the Tesla?

^ I was thinking the same thing. More along the lines of "Damn that man's got a lot of amazing toys"

The family on my dads side was in the retail market, renting out houses & apartments in a few cities. I grew interested in it but decided to go a different route, aviation. I received my commercial license & CFI (instructor) & began instructing. After a solid year of "teaching" mostly teenagers who just wanted to go up in the air once for their birthday I decided that it was enough & I wanted to be my own boss. I already knew a few people who were in the market to buy an airplane so I started a company that would manage your plane for you & charter it out so you can at least get close to breaking even throughout the year with moderate use. After the company generated enough money I began buying the aircraft from the people or setting them up with other companies that could manage their aircraft for them. Now we solely do charter service so I have full control of the aircraft that we own & operate. Currently our "fleet" stands at 2 "pods" of aircraft (each pod containing 33 aircraft) based in Europe & the Americas. I've just been lucky & blessed, & the company car is well the car that I have registered to the company so I didn't personally have to buy it. My passion & joy in life is aviation so I try staying out of the office as much as possible & flying. I use the Tesla to pick up a client if I'm flying & we're at our home base.

I'd love to post some pics that I have if I knew where to post them.

This forum has the ability to host photos and post links from them into your profile. I think it's available even if you don't pay the one-time costs, but not as many albums if I'm not mistaken.

I already posted the other car pictures in the thread that another member told me about. Hosting them via imgur.

Yeah, my bad, I see that now. Have a Merry Christmas!

Storm springs Update:

After full settling of the springs (Im assuming not much to settle) Some issues arose:

4 Wheels rub on the fender well in depressions in the road (waves / dimples , not speed bumps)

When turning right into a semi steep driveway, the front passenger wheel rubs against the metal fender edge - not good. I posted some pics below to depict.
I managed to pound the metal flaring out back in with my wrist, but fender rolling is a must with this set up.

I made an appointment at this place down here that specializes in fender rolling and heating up the inner fender wells to stretch it so the tires wont rub.

Again, Im running 20 x 9 front and 20 x 10 rears with P295 Rears, and P255 Fronts / Staggered setup.

I'll keep you guys posted after the fender rolling.

I went to carid to see about getting me those exact wheels they recommend 20x8.5 in the front. I believe that those rims can not fit on a genesis if they are 20x9. You might want to complain to whoever told you those would fit. Carid's website says 20x8.5 is their biggest available option for the front. I will more then likely order those same wheels just in 20x8.5 in front and 20x10 in rear.

I'm debating wheel selection. My favorite wheels are the Ace Devotions in 20" with lowered springs:

I couldn't find those wheels on Tirerack.com, but I did find some others in stock wheel size that I liked that are almost half the cost:

The challenge here in deciding is that when rendered in 20" and a drop, the Ace Devotion wheels as rendered above look much MUCH better. I can't tell if it's the wheels themselves that are giving that impression or if it's the combination of the aftermarket springs and the 20" wheel size.

I've conditionally decided that I probably do want aftermarket springs, but I'm unlikely to go with Storm springs because they are a bit too low and I don't want to scrape/rub. Therefore I'm stuck waiting (infinitely?) on Ark to come out with a product for the 2nd Generation V8, hopefully one that's tested with a car that has CDC. I'm also unsure if I want the ride-quality degradation and potential speedometer/odometer issues with 20" wheels. I've already blown out two wheels (and bent the rims) on an interstate.

So my question is, do the Ace Devotions look so good because of the drop and the 20" wheels, or do they just look that much better all-around? And are they worth 2x the cost?

Different strokes...I much prefer the second photo. I think (1) the wheels are better looking, and (2) the overall look is much more pleasing. The wheels fit the wheel well openings symmetrically, without the distortion in gaps to the side vs the top, so often seen in slammed Civics.
If you like the look of a bigger wheel, match it to a lower profile tire. You'll have the look, but lose the ride comfort of your luxury car.
Like I said, different strokes...

20" all day long Sean. You'll love the look in person - go for it.

Badass Huddleston! I was ordering my wheels/tires today and showed the guys your car. They were all shocked and amazed at how good these cars looked when modded. Hopefully in about 2 weeks I'll have my new wheels, storm springs and led fogs installed! In the meantime keep the pics coming, your car is stunning
