  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Jorge, man that looks awesome!! Seeing a beautiful, clean black car always makes me envious. Yet the times I've owned a black car, I was always envious of people who didn't have black cars :-).

Samnap, welcome!

Just bought my first Hyundai... I drove both the Equus and Genesis. There was no way I could justify the extra expense for an Equus and the Genesis was just too much fun to drive. The V8 have really got some get-up and go... I think the thing I enjoy the most so far is when people see my new car and say, "That's a Hyundai?!? No way!"

I was just going to get another Lexus, but stopped in my local Hyundai dealer when I saw this beauty sitting outside. They gave me an awesome deal on the car and my trade in... It was impossible to say no!

Nice Genny! And welcome to the forum. I went from a ISF to my Genesis and haven't looked back. Lexus makes great cars but it's hard to pass up the 2G Genesis. They really knocked this car out of the park and I hope you enjoy your ownership.

Lol I had no idea we came from the same car! I had a gs300 then an ISF before getting my first Genesis.

My 2015 5.0 bought last week during the great fire sale. Had been sitting around dealer lots for 18 months so I had my detailer come out and make it look like new again. No more machine washing!!!

Howdy. Just put the wheels on. Also put a lowering kit on from one of the guys that advertises on here. Love this car. Rides beautifully even with it lowered and running 20's.

BirdGen5 what lowering springs did you get?

Actually that's a good question! To the best of my knowledge, BirdGen5 and I are the only V8 Ultimates with lowering springs, and the springs I have on mine are prototypes.

lol actually I mention it only because there could potentially be ramifications with the V8 Ultimate with springs if they were designed for the 3.8:

1. The increased weight and whether or not the springs can handle the weight if they were designed for a 3.8 application
2. Whether there's an issue with the lowered car and VDC

These were (some of the) concerns I struggled with before pulling the trigger.
