  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Here is my 2016 empire state gray...was such a hassle getting this car as I had to get it from out of state without looking at it which was somewhat of a mistake. Car came in over 3 weeks with mud all over the car, dirty hand prints all over the inside, gash on the front bumper and rear like it was damaged unloading car, all sorts of little problems here and there.

But I cleaned her up, detailed with clay bar, blackfire compound, polish and diamond wet seal and this is what she looks like after 3 days. Oh and zaino leather cleaner and conditioner...absolutely the best smell like brand new leather.

I have contacted the dealer about the damage so hopefully there is going to be some resolve as it does look like the front left corner of the bumper was also repainted...this is a new car that was a demo with 2200 miles so it should have come brand new no damage...so I am a little pissed off ...but I do love this car....so let's hope they do the right thing and reimburse me for a better paint job

Hope you had plenty of pix for proof on claims. Nonetheless, great detail job and congrats!

Great thread! off topic but all important question here for you guys running lowering springs. How is the ride compared to stock? I know lower center of gravity, less body roll cornering, great stance with less fender gap. I've done it all before with coilovers on BMW 5 series. The Genesis is heavy car with luxury plush ride. If ride on OEM springs is a 10/10, what do you rate the ride on lowering springs?

there's a very long thread on the G2 lowering springs in the suspension forum. Might want to read that first.

Having said that, I'm getting ARK GT-Fs installed Monday so I'll be able to comment on the ride (in the suspension thread) after that.

Wow...the bumper looked like it was repainted as it looked very hazy...well I tried to compound and polish it out and this is what happened

The paint literally just ripped off lol...I guess it was repainted and it was done very recently like within the last month. Wonder if the transport company did it and is trying to hide it...it did take them 12 days to deliver the car from texas to va...they told me the truck was broke down and had to get another truck to pick it up to deliver it.

Now that this happened everything seems extremely fishy...my whole dealer experience and transport has been way below par. Hopefully all of this is fixed and I can go enjoy the car because I really do love the car.

Here's one I photoshopped but not mine..

^^^ Looks funny :D

Yesterday, spotted another Genesis, locally. Young cool dude.

(I told him to get rid of this flying H and dealer's license plate frame :p )

I drove by this place in the middle of nowhere on my way to Huntsville, TX for work but it was closed. Had to stop on my way back to Austin for a quick Shiner and to snap this.

And I doctored it up a bit:

That's one of the first things I did! It's a shame the wing logo's posts don't line up with the trunk holes.

Those wheels look great.. BTW!

why does photobucket suck? I use photobucket and seems to work pretty well, but is imgur easier to use?

I think it"s just that imgur is more reliable, even after several years, images hosted by imgur are still visible online.
I've seen so many times errors with displaying pictures on the websites using photobucket and imageshock since ~2005.

btw. you do not need to have an account there to upload/host any images.

A few reasons: imgur is easier to setup an account, has less ad bloat when you link a people to an album, much better interface on mobile, strips meta data from photos automatically (GSP location etc), and it seems like they have a better retention policy as most forum users in general are familiar with the red X/no photo boxes from photobucket pictures posted previously.

As I posted above, you don't even have to have an account. Just drop the picture onto their website and "get share links".

Correct but you do need an account if you want to go back in and delete a bunch of stuff or make alterations to albums later.

I don't know what's better the car or the quality of pictures your camara takes lol.

If his car was Montecito Blue it would be the car :D
