If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Solution! LED DRL's and LED turn signals

Hey everyone. I use to mod VW's a while back. I've had a couple Lexus since those days so I've been out of the modding scene for a while, but this light issue feels like it really should be a software fix. I did read every post in this thread and no one has any luck yet. VW's had VAGCOM which was software you'd have on a laptop with an OBDII adapater to change stuff like this.

Wish it was this simple on our Hyundai's.

I did drive around with the parking lights on for a few days.....
I'm really starting to love this car.
I had AUDI before and know how cool to tweak stuff with VAGCOM only .... wish we have something like that in Hyundai ...

I'm doing the same thing driving with parking lights ON... good thing is it turned off with the car no worries no warning chime for lights are ON..

Planning to get fog lights like "DFWGENNY" guy

Ive had my tritons inside housing for close to a year now. No problem here. I dont driving around with DRLs (white mode) on. Both bulbs would switch back to amber for few seconds randomly independently. I got these tritons mainly for LED turning signal for that instant on and off.

I have this same issue, only had them in for about 10 days now

Just installed my new PIAAs. They look great. One thing I did different was remove the air filter box. Just unsnapped the 4 clips that hold the top on and pulled it out. Took about 10 seconds and gave me more room. Thanks to the many people that have contributed to this thread.

Just wanted to confirm, we only need to buy 1 pair of bulbs, correct? In another thread somebody said they needed two pairs and it planted that ugly seed of doubt in my head.

in saudi arabia we brought the Korean HID and its working fine with us

Yup just one pair of PIAA bulbs. I actually had one bulb go bad after 3 months from a pothole hit, but they are so inexpensive, it really doesn't bother me and now I have a spare from the new pair I bought. No problems since then been about 9 more months and lots more potholes.

Just switched my ambers to the PIAAs. It is indeed one pair. Not sure why the other dude said he needed two pairs. I almost accidentally fed the trolls. Ordered them on Friday and they arrived Saturday. Gotta love Amazon prime.

Exactly which PIAAs are you guys ordering? The Xtreme white?

Can we just replace the amber bulb with an amber LED, so that the light is crisp when it flashes as a turn signal?

I don't mind the orange. Just hate that it's halogen. Seems like every other light on the car is LED or HID.

I think people who have been replacing the bulb with an LED have been dealing with hyperflash issues. I'm not sure if that has been resolved yet.

Personally - I see nothing wrong with hyperflash. Increased noticeability is not a bad thing. For those who don't like it - inline resistor fixes that - just as it has for more than a decade of LED conversions.

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but has anyone been successful with Diode Dynamics for the turn signals/DRL bulb plus their resistor to prevent hyperflash?

I know this is an older post but seeing my 2016 Tech they are indeed 2 pairs of amber light bulbs that turn on at the same time when turn light is on.

I can't find a way to edit my own post
Disregard my previous comment, there is just one pair of turn light bulbs, is the reflection of the bulb inside of the reflector that looks like there is another one on the corner.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I saw the same bulbs and was wondering the same thing. Should let us know if you try them :)

There has to be a way to code this car like any other car where you can use the led surrounds as the drl...has anyone figured that out yet? or is this really the only solution?

There's probably a way. However, we are at a disadvantage because the Genesis is already a rare car and the people who like to tinker are even less. The aftermarket for this car is slim to none and people aren't willing to do the r&d for something that may never have a return of investment.

There is a timeout feature to where you can only edit your post for a certain period of time. Not 100% sure how long that window actually is.

What (any)other car?

Just installed my vleds on my Genesis and even thou I love the look I am very disappointed that when on DRL mode the white goes to yellow on both sides randomly! Ive seen a couple had issues here with the same problem but I dont see any fixes. Has anyone fixed that issue?
