  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Spyshots of 2021 G70 facelift

It’s hard to implement a such a drastic refresh while maintaining the overall same shape and body panels. They’ll nail it on the full redesign. They just tried to hard too making it what it was not from the beginning.

They’ll nail it on the full redesign.
If there is one... I don't think this new design will do much for boosting sales.

Retracted.

Oh no..... 😟

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Ughh.... Genesis, what have you done? That thing is an abomination. Lol.

no bueno. i'll keep my '19 thank you very much. i was never a fan of the new split headlights, but the rest of the front and rear design is not my taste either. too soft/weak looking.

plus - no manual, no care.

I'm going to give Genesis the benefit of the doubt and wait for more pictures to come out... I think we may be looking at some pretty terrible angles. A full-on front view may give a better idea of the styling.

Agree 100%

I am really hoping that is the case. The G70 has done so well and they can't ruin that progress...

So I looked at another picture and the badge on the back says 2.0T. So new engines aren’t coming at least in the form of 4 cylinder.

Well....this is one way to get the current model stocks to sell. The RWD manual G70 with LSD will become a collector afterall.

Front is too insectoid, and the quad light thing doesn't work on the rear w/o changing the trunk lid/back design.

Could be just for the KDM (and other like markets).

Thank you Genesis for helping me save money. That refresh just looks........🤬

*Are those reverse lights on the bottom half of the bumper? 🤮

This is unbelievably disappointing. They just took one of the best looking sport sedans on the market and made it one of the worst looking. What the hell were they thinking?! I could *maybe* get over the front, but the rear? My god. Why didn’t they extend the taillights onto the trunk lid?! There’s nothing to break up that huge chunk of metal now.

Agreed that these might just be awful photos, but I’m not very optimistic about that. Bad angles or not, some of these design cues just don’t look like they work. We’ll see - I hope they can change my mind, because I love the way this car drive and was fully planning on getting the refresh.

Proverbs 6:16-20
16
There are six things the LORD hates, eight that are abomination to him:

17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood,

18 a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil,

19 a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.

20 the refresh G70

Really just the first seven. But if the poet were writing today...

Oof... I find it hard to believe they would have nailed the new G80 the way they did but this is all they could muster on the G70 refresh... I'm holding out hope.

Hmmmmmmm....I want to like it. I'll wait to see it in person but not my favorite.
