  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Shit, I didn't even notice that in the last pictures. I know there were rumors of a PHEV/hybrid G80 or GV80, and I guess these pictures confirm it?

G80 EV, damn!

Nah, I think it's just a Block Heater for Siberian models. :sneaky:

"Funeee" !

Seriously, The cord is shown going into the engine with the hood popped. It's most likely a battery charger or block heater versus an EV. If it was an EV there most likely would be a dedicated external port.

Conversely/contradictory to above, it is an EV charging station they are parked at.

I think it may have been "staged" by Hyundai/Genesis to messing with us and build hype.

I think the port might be blocked by the camo...so they are charging via an alternate port located in the engine bay.

not a fan of EV.

not a fan of EV.

BEVs currently are not practical as a replacement for ICE vehicles (FCEVs definitely have that opportunity) but they definitely can be advantageous in many, if not the majority of, instances. Their relatively short ranges make cross country trips a lot longer but for daily commuting they generally save time, money and energy in the long run. That said, it currently is a personal preference and can certainly understand people not wanting one.

Some new spy shots for the interior...
