Those rims are hideous. Not sure if I’ve already said that or not.

I think Genesis in the wheel design location needs a little more study on what consumers want. Only wheels thus far that I’ve seen from them that are actually nice to look at is the G80 Sports and G70 line. These wheels loom better on the G90 then G80.

Here is an article that my local Genesis dealer posted on facebook that praises the rims on the G90:

I can't believe those wheels got all this hate. I don't think they deserve this.

For me, they look more classy and luxury I really love them since I'm looking for luxury in my cars more than sporty.

Also, I'm pretty sure that genesis will make many options in wheels designs according to all these spyshots, we already saw five different types of wheels designs for this new g80.

I agree with Abdullah. The new G80 wheels, which look very much like the G90 ones, are pretty polarizing and maybe too fancy styled. But we've seen so many wheels on the prototypes that I'm sure there will be a lot of choices for different feels through the wheels, and it's good that Genesis is trying to appeal to different consumer wants. We don't need to be too hung up on if one particular style isn't right for us individually.

I think I remember reading that the luxury G90 rim is specially designed to reduce noise, harshness and vibration. I think one would have to see it in person to make up their mind. It does look very bold, classy and unique. There’s going to be numerous rims to choose.

One detail that I hope may change on release is the size of the third brake light. A select few cars have cool looking long third brake lights, including the GV80:

Compared to the current G80 prototypes:



The larger light gives more presence and is more noticeable. Hopefully they might change it, but I’m not sure.

Also the article that Abdullah0637 posted recently from Autocasion said the rear turn signals are sequential, like on Audi! I’m intrigued to see if this is true.

I agree the long third brake light looks much better.
I also read that article and I'm not sure whether they are right or not about the signals sequential, I got confused when they said that the g80 is the new model that replaces the current g70! I used google translate by the way

I just realized it’s coming out of one side. The other one has that fake mesh thing. This is probably the 4 Cylinder.

Chill with the Grill G80! Man if you flip the car vertically you can grill up a rack of lamb, ribs, 30 dogs and ~20 burgers on that thing at the same time.
I mentioned this multiple times but they should have done something else with the lower front bumper rather than add chicken wire.

That makes sense, as many manufacturers use fake exhaust on their diesel variant: like Mercedes.

True but even Mercedes and Audi as well as other brands do have the fake mesh tips for Gasoline engines. I.e.

I was worried, but it looks quite imposing and badass haha. Quite menacing, plus it has to be seen in person. It may look smaller or better in person, just like the current G80.

I’m okay with it on the G80 and G90. But for the love of Christ do not put a huge grill on the G70 facelift and the GV70. It would just look bad.
