  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

SPYSHOTS: The next generation of the Genesis G80 is here

Awesome interior pics. Looking very good.

I still don't understand the fake exhaust thing. In the pics above, the first car has real exhaust. The second car has fake. Reading this thread, some say there is a diesel model. I was unaware that Genesis was producing a diesel model.

Diesel Engine is only for the Korean market.

The back seat space seems tight. The front seats are pretty far back, but I feel like the new G80 has less leg room than the current gen.

Seems like Genesis is valuing trunk space instead of interior space with recent new models. From the pictures it might seem like the front seats are back a little bit but still seems like leg room dropped compared to last gen. Might be due in part to the new chassis as it’s said to be shorter then the current model.

Ahh, I see. Interesting.

Looks to me that the front seats are all the way back. I think the interior dimensions are same as current gen.

I would say all the way back I would say more or less at its mid point.

Also the article that Abdullah0637 posted recently from Autocasion said the rear turn signals are sequential, like on Audi! I’m intrigued to see if this is true.
I agree the long third brake light looks much better.
I also read that article and I'm not sure whether they are right or not about the signals sequential, I got confused when they said that the g80 is the new model that replaces the current g70! 😅 I used google translate by the way

I have no doubt the rear turns will be sequential in Korea, the existing Korean G80 already has them, I believe the Euro model as well.

They won’t come to the US due to stupid 70 year old US regulations regarding the required size and flash duration.

It is very possible, even on the existing g80 to have them and meet the regulations, Audi had done it by having a solid flashing light along with a second strip being sequential, our trunk light which doubles as the reverse can be set to be a standard flash leaving the quarter panel light to be sequential and I believe meet the requirements.

But is the modification cost effective and worth it? If Genesis is trying to stay in a given price point, they might not consider the R&D and other related cost to be worthwhile for a visual effect and would likely put that money into other things like overall design or performance.

I'm sorry for this post guys, this is a bad news and I really feel disappointed 💔
It's appear that the new G80 was scheduled to unveiled in this September but it got delayed to Q1 2020 according to Mr. Chung Eui-sun the vice-chairman of Hyundai
GV80 will be unveiled in October or November this year
