Nowhere does it state a single turbo versus 2 turbos. The one mention of a turbo is in singular form...but that means nothing since it is a translated article (pretty sure anyway).Interesting. Article infers the 3.5T will be a single turbo unlike the twin turbo setup on the current 3.3T. The new turbo will be water-cooled and have "unique responsiveness" (dual scroll like BMW ?). The hp/torque specifications seems low for this size engine (typical for a manufacturer to understate).
A major improvement is the multi-port FI setup (mPI) which will reduce/eliminate the issue of intake valve fouling on the current GDI engines
Baffles me how you could make a stream of assumptions based on them saying "turbo" instead of "turbos"...LOL.
