  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

SPYSHOTS: The next generation of the Genesis G80 is here

Interesting. Article infers the 3.5T will be a single turbo unlike the twin turbo setup on the current 3.3T. The new turbo will be water-cooled and have "unique responsiveness" (dual scroll like BMW ?). The hp/torque specifications seems low for this size engine (typical for a manufacturer to understate).

A major improvement is the multi-port FI setup (mPI) which will reduce/eliminate the issue of intake valve fouling on the current GDI engines
Nowhere does it state a single turbo versus 2 turbos. The one mention of a turbo is in singular form...but that means nothing since it is a translated article (pretty sure anyway).

Baffles me how you could make a stream of assumptions based on them saying "turbo" instead of "turbos"...LOL.

I'll be an early adopter of the 3.5

Although he did have some positives, I think it was his best to pursue something different. Wish him all the best in his next job.

Now when it comes to Mr. Lee, I really hope he can turn around a lot of the issues that Genesis currently has in the US. Mainly dealer issues and speeding up the separation of its dealers from Hyundai. Although I don’t own a Genesis, hearing from other people not having good services done to there Genesis because it’s just the same as Hyundai, I hope they can rectify these issues and get better dealer service requirements once actual dealers are created.
