I was told that regular oil is what is required in this vehicle and I may be wrong but I thought the manual says the same thing?
Also, other than using the correct weight for your particular climate, for those of you that recommend one brand over the other, what do you notice when using one brand vs. the other? I never realized that oil brand had any appreciable differences.
Much to my surprise, the owner's manual at p. 8-6 does, in fact, mention Quaker State as a "recommended" oil for both engines.
I would heartily recommend ignoring that recommendation and using a synthetic like Mobil 1. I've used it for 40 years and have no reservations whatsoever about it.
There used to be a list on the internet of high performance cars in which Mobil 1 came as standard - it may still be around somewhere.
What have I noticed? Better gas mileage, better running engine at low temps. , and much cleaner looking oil when I change it. Doesn't break down like dino oil.
