  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Tesla CyberTruck

not everyone has a super charger at home or in there apartment, my fam members dont so yeah 1 hr charge he get 3-5 miles .

Supercharging is DC (bypassing the onboard charger that converts AC), I'm at the peak limit of what my onboard charger can charge at. If I wanted a supercharger, that'd have to realistically be three phase. Maybe in a future new construction.

Most apartment/condos associations/management I've seen are willing to install them, it's a good way to future proof and attract EV buyers. That's rough otherwise though to just charge off an outlet. For my run it was about a grand with the charger to get it operational.

please stop trying to convince yourself that you made the right choice and you out smarted everyone else and that your on to something new.

I'm just giving my opinion and experiences owning both brands under the Tesla thread. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

See that a lot. Drive by the Apartments and town homes near my neighborhood and you'll see tons of Teslas, Porsches, Mazeratis, etc. But in the single fam part where I live, there are Hyundais, Hondas, Chevys, and a G70... lol

I have to admit I though it was a crazy design when I first saw it and still think the same (butt ugly). Forgetting about the power, I think it's kinda like a extra LONG '50s station wagon.

I've never own a truck, but after thinking about it since the debut on Nov 21st, I thought maybe I would consider it. Today I found out the size of the monster. Almost the exact same size as a crew-cab Ford 150.

Definitely NOT for me. It's 231" long where as my G80 is 197" (CyberTruck almost a yard longer). I have enough trouble parking my G80 in small parking lots where the aisles are tight. Musk reportedly hinted at a smaller size in the future.

AND IT'S PROBABLY GOING TO BE BUTT UGLY AS WELL...

At least you can you use that roller bed cover to sift for gold...help recover the $150k it’ll end up costing.

And to be clear, nothing wrong with apartments or townhomes, some people prefer the lower responsibility compared to maintaining a house, but the ones near me are also about 200k less than a single fam home.

Nah, I like my RAM Ecodiesel (see, even says eco in the name, so I'm fixing the environment :-p) with my roll up tonneau cover. I can go 600 miles on a tank of diesel and all of those can be in the middle of nowhere, forest, offroad, etc. To hunt for zombies and not have to worry about my battery dying and stranding me to get my brains eaten by said rabid zombies.

But armored glass and stainless steel doors will protect you! :hillarious:

Brain eating zombies are #1 on my avoid list.🙃

Well if we as a society are comfortable with plant-eating zombies, I say we deserve a pat on the back! ;)

Another item folks don’t consider. 300 freaking hectares of forest taken down for wanker’s factory...yeah...save the environment right???

Not almost 1k acres !!! Gimme a break.
Maybe they are going to plant soybeans or corn too.

Spring Hill Manufacturing is the largest GM facility in North America. The flexible vehicle assembly plant and Global Propulsion Systems plant sit on 2,100 acres with 900 of those acres dedicated to farming.

Ford built the Rouge plant on about 960 acres.
The Rouge measures 1.5 miles (2.4 km) wide by 1 mile (1.6 km) long, including 93 buildings with nearly 16 million square feet (1.5 km²) of factory floor space

Not that internet commenters are always right, but a couple indicate that this isn't the traditional "forest" you're thinking of. Also as mentioned below that, Musk donated $1 mil to plant a million trees else where (a campaign effort started by the YouTuber Mr. Beast)
