  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Tesla CyberTruck

yeah after 0-60 your done unless you own a p100d. teslas dont what to race from a roll , i raced my cousins performance model 3 after that 0-60 i start walking him and from a roll he has no chance.

I may have missed it but what car were you driving?

I'm a technology guy, so Tesla is right up my alley. Right now though, the price is beyond what I want to pay... at least in Canada. I have no doubt that one day I'll be driving an electric performance car though!

Because instead of providing actual arguments you attack the man by calling him a fanboy and now you’re telling me the same. This is something children and not adults do. If you’ve got points to dispute please do, otherwise leave the conversation so the adults can talk
I said nothing about you...so reread and chill the F out.

As for him...not up to me to prove his crap. He should back up with what he said with facts.
If I really must...I will rip apart his entire post once near a computer.

Yeah 0-60 in 2.3 I go through rubbers real quick. Definitely more frequently than the G80. Brakes are pretty much lifetime with regenerative braking, you rarely hit the brakes unless you really need to. As for filters, there's one filter, not multiple - the HEPA one I have is recommended every 3 years.

There are two levels here. The first one is autopilot which is included in all Teslas, which steers, brakes, accelerates and has all the emergency stuff you'd expect. All the vehicles have almost two dozen cameras/sensors in total that analyze your precise driving conditions. This is really something that all manufacturers should be pursuing as standard.

The premium feature is the FSD (Full Self Driving), which is progressively improving to the point of being more and more autonomous. The car can already change lanes automatically, overtake slower cars, and recognize traffic signs. Lots more too. I get over the air updates that constantly improve all of these features. It's mainly intended for highway use now, we will see more city use with this in the future. The reason why Tesla is ahead is all of this data is being analyzed worldwide, and will improve far quicker than any other competitors.

As for Tesla owners looking stupid comment, there is no reason disparage anyone for their preferences. I'm proud that Tesla is made right here in the United States, and I look forward to them continuing to be the trailblazers in vehicle safety, technology and fun.
Tesla also came out with statement that says " AUTOPILOT" doesn't mean is is.

I know it’s not about me, and we have no beef. I would love you to ‘rip apart’ his post because it provides an opportunity for me to learn and expand my knowledge and challenge any preconceived notions. But maybe you should wait until you’re next to a computer because you’re not coming off in the best light with these replies where you’re limiting yourself to an angry sentence or two

Lets all calm down now folks. at the end of the day its personal preference.

They've gone away with the "PxxxD" phrasing, for the S specifically it's now either Long Range or Performance, both bear a "Dual Motor" badge, a performance Tesla will have a red line below the badge and red calipers. The top end performance (say 60-100+ MPH) isn't as impressive as the initial acceleration for sure, although this will likely be improved in the next generation chemistry and Tri-Motor setup late next year, where we'll see even better timings all around.

I never modified my R-Spec beyond tints and a K&N filter, that sounds like a fun setup you have! Enjoy it in good health. Give the Teslas some slack above 120, yeah? :sneaky:

^ most of what you state is fanboy bullshit. You enjoy spewing bullshit to justify your insane purchase?!?!
Not agreeing is a POV. Fanboy BS is justifying every single thing that your product has to make yourself appear better...either by exaggerating, making shit up or rewording thus hiding misinformation.
Pretty sure I’m not bragging and making shit up about my G70.

I'm not going to disparage you and your purchases, everyone has the freedom to an opinion and preference here. Even though we may not agree, I'll still show you and everyone a level of respect that everyone should have towards each other. Everything I've written is based on my experience with both of the brands. I've got skin in both brands, I welcome a respectful, factual conversation.

I'm a coke guy, and I like my Android phones and domestic cars. I'm a medium rare type of guy, too. Happy Holidays!

yeah its fun, the 5.0 has some potential , im in the works of getting light weight pulleys ,some custom cams made and hope some headers. the only teslas that are a threat are the performance model s if you got the 60, 75 , 85 models it just like your avg. from 40 mph and up i walk him all the time and 60 and same results. ( speaking of my cousins performance model 3)

I agree with you but for some reason some people can’t handle the fact that everyone has different opinions and like different things including cars. It’s either there way or no way. I don;t get it. Amen to them being built in the United States. Great comments Dimitry!! Thumbs up all the way!! And hope you had a Merry Christmas. Such a happy time of year but you wouldn’t know it based on some people’s comments.... oh, and I’m sure you can tell who the know it all bully is on this forum...

So because someone speaks from experience based on a car they personally own it’s fanboy bullshit??!!!! LOL!!!!

By the way Dimitry, thanks for the information on the Tesla. I appreciate it coming from someone who owns one..

Regenerative braking does slow the car down...in calm normal situations. However...you will need to apply the brakes in emergency braking or even aggressive situations.
So you go 0-60 so often (thus burning through your rubbers real quick)...this means you need to apply aggressive braking frequently.

When using the brakes...there is friction and wear/tear...so they are NOT "pretty much lifetime". I know you are quoting Musk on this...but all other EV manufacturers that use this same concept admit that brakes need replacing. Just not as often.

So you are wrong here...and misinforming the folks on this board. Just because Musk tweets and brags about stuff does not mean it is true.

Their HEPA filters are pretty impressive. I can only imagine the cost...i think like $100 for one filter. Guess what...other cars use HEPA filters !!! Wow. Just because Tesla states that they are good for the apocalypse does not make them any different. HEPA is HEPA. Misinformation/exaggeration again.

$23 on Amazon...

There are other manufacturers that are doing autonomous driving tech. Tesla has gone a long way...but by no means should anyone follow their standard. Especially when it Teslas constantly fail at it. Someone was even killed (not sure of others). There are tons of stories of them hitting stuff...or just going out of wack. I am sure that there is other tech out there that Tesla does not use that is better.

Here is a list of several cars and the tech they use. There are others not on the list that are inventing new tech.

Top 3 companies in autonomous tech (Tesla not mentioned)...

Good read...debunks some myths...

So again...you are making it seem like Tesla is the best at it hands down and everyone should copy them. Wrong.

You think Tesla is the only company that can communicate with their cars to analyze data? Wrong. How can you say they will improve quicker than other competitors? That is utter BS. More fanboy information.

Lastly...Tesla owners DO look stupid when they go to sleep behind the wheel while their cars are "driving". That is beyond stupidity. It is wreckless...dangerous...and should have their drivers licenses revoked. Has nothing to do with preference of vehicle. It has to do with brain malfunction.

Tesla is made in the USA? Sure. It is also made in China, Germany, etc. And...once again...fanboy information making it seem like all their profits come from USA manufacturing. Trailblazers in vehicle safety? C'mon...do you know how many vehicles have top-notch safety ratings?

All this is from your the last post that set me off. You have have been arguing in previous posts stating similar claims. I just don't feel like arguing each point.

Now...feel free to show 100% proof of your statements...actual facts that support your statements. Not hearsay...Musk tweets...or other fanboy arguments.

Merry belated Xmas and Happy New Year.

**As for G70girl getting all bent out of shape...how about you do some research yourself and realize that there is misinformation. Perhaps you will see the frustration I got from mis-truth being spread. Not being a bully...just calling a spade a spade and making sure folks see all sides of the story.

I'm sure they have an enthusiast forum...

Well they do. And I am not on any Tesla forums talking about Genesis (truthful or otherwise). But this is a Tesla thread on a Genesis forum...and just wanted to reel in the misinformation.

Back to bashing the Tesla pickup truck...which is what this thread was intended for :)
