  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Weapon R - Genesis Sedan Product Development

Not sweating the detail.. IMO.. Please create a true cold air intake with a enclosed and insulated air filter can. And a insulated pipe. There is plenty of room to route inlet through the cold air opening into a box. Your system is not anything special over others at this point. And the real testing videos on this forum (and some in the past few days) show non increase of acceleration. Especially when heat soak in real world driving (not on a dyno with the hood open) is so easy with this type of unprotected design.

Many of us will pay more for a system that has measured results to keep no outside air temp increase.

So you want a filter inside your stock airbox? What type of insulation did you want to use? Also about dyno testing with a hood open is for saftey of the motor when your driving with the hood closed there is air being blown over the engine there is no air flow when your on a dyno. Lastly im no forcing anyone to buy the intake we made it as a option for some no one said you have to buy this.

Also like I said we only had a day to produce this intake if we had more time maybe I could have made a air shield for it as well. If you would like to bring your car to us to use for a few days and you want to help develop it you are more than welcome. We have had cars come from as far as maryland to help develop items.

Heat shield would be great wish I lived in Cali I would rent a vehicle as long as you built a sweet product and threw it in the deal...Send a truck and trailer to pick up and promise it back in a month I am game to help out if so of course the month is not including travel time.

Ive contacted TLIN next week I have time available and if the schedules are correct an airshield will be made for this kit as well.

Air shield was made for the intake and the production intakes will come with it.

Now we're taking. Nice work guys. She can we expect to be able to purchase one?

Is it just for the r-spec? Or r u folks making for the 3.8 v6ers?

Can it be produced out of plastic? The metal is going to be a big heat sink. Most aftermarket CAI heat shields are made of plastic for this reason.

we can only make intake for cars we can get ahold of to do testing. The shield and intake pipe will not be made from plastic.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Any chance of making a true CAI? One that is enclosed and draws air from in front of the vehicle, not the hot underhood air?

I live about 45 minutes from where you are. I have a 2010 V8, would be interested in helping out IF the current production will not fit for V8 models.

The current production won't fit our 4.6's as we have a MAF and the 5.0's don't from my understanding.

Are you producing these yet?

Anyone have it installed and can comment on performance?
